However, voting doesn't 'start' yet, I don't believe - people had until today to write and hand in their entries, and so should be given the day to finalise their pieces and hand them in. Once Phusion's got a solid list of everyone that's entered, he'll post the topic, along with links to each piece, and we'll be on our way. That's what I assume, anyway. If it were up to me, I'd then say have the voting proceed until the end of the month, and on the 1st of the following month the next competition can get underway, with a brand new genre. I'm also willing to give another added incentive to winning it; the winner's piece will be pinned, along with the topic for next month's competition. Sound good, or would people prefer not to see that? I think it'd be a nice little prize for winning, but I wouldn't want people to get annoyed by having yet another pinned topic - it would reach 5 at that point. Thoughts? Pinned topics don't bother me, is there anyway you can ask Phil to pull some strings and see if temporary medal can be given on their name for the month? I don't know what kind of forum-wide missionary you're trying to be, but we don't need to spread the word far and wide to promote this place; and if people need the incentive of a little pixelated image to improve the quality of their story, then they can f*ck right off anyway. Writing is a talent, and isn't as common as you seem to believe it is. WD's activity is fine. I fail to see the need to increase it. As for a medal, I agree with Phil. It really isn't needed. We've attracted bad noobs in the past, and attracting more of them would make WD's future even worse. Those who are good members, and smart will notice this place eventually, and will migrate. There are still people who don't know this area exists. I didn't know it existed after like a year i joined! It took me 1 month to realize there was a general and gaming chat besides the GTAIV section. Let them realize it on there own, and if they don't, then its better for us.
