Niko's Fate

A GTAIV short story by poikly

 

 

Part One

'I have conquered all of Liberty City. It is time to rest.'

 

Niko Bellic was 1,250 feet off the ground. He had done all he could here, with his past way behind him. The past day was not a nice one, possibly the worst day he had experienced since he was first betrayed by Darko Brevic. He now had a great band of friends, Roman, Brucie and Packie being his closest, and used to have a girlfriend called Kate McReary. His only love...

Niko mourned the death or Kate ever since it happened, and swore revenge on her killer, Jimmy Pegorino. His task was succeeded, right next to the Statue Of Happiness, which stood in the horizon of Liberty City. He could hear Roman's voice behind him.

 

'Don't do it, cousin!' He shouted in fear. Niko had no choice...

 

10 Minutes earlier

 

The elevator took a long time to reach its peak. On the way up, his Whiz phone started ringing. Niko reached into his pocket quickly and saw Roman was calling him so he pressed the answer button and approached his ear with the phone.

 

'Hello?' Niko answered.

'Niko, are you okay? You sound a bit...' Roman answered not finishing his sentence.

'Well what do you think, you dumb idiot. My only love has died due to my unforgiving nature!'

'I'm sorry, cousin! I never meant it like that!'

Niko sighed and let himself cool down as the elevator was approaching the top.

'Don't be sorry, cousin. It is my fault. I am still upset over what happened with Kate.'

'Stop it. That was then, this is now. You can't keep living in the past, NB. Trust me, Kate will be proud with what you done!' Roman said, trying to comfort his heart-broken cousin as best as he could. 'I have good news, Niko. Mallorie is pregnant! If it is a girl, I will call it Kate in memory.'

 

The lift had arrived.

'Thanks cousin, I really appreciate it. I have to go now.'

'Go wh-wh-where?' Roman stuttered. 'Where are you?'

Niko stepped out the elevator and threw the phone off the ledge. The phone travelled at great speed, with Roman's voice trailling out of it, before it hit the ground...

Part Two

'Brucie! Brucie! I think Niko is in trouble!' Roman shouted, panicking. Roman was at Brucie's place, secretly gambling on the internet.

'What do you mean?' Brucie replied. Roman ignored him and sprinted up the stairs to the helipad.

'I heard an elevator noise in the background when he said he had to go, so he must have been in one. I also noticed that it took a while for the phone to go off after I last heard his voice.' Roman figured out.

'What the f*ck are you getting at?' Brucie said, extremely shocked and curious to what was going on.

 

Niko sat on the wall on the very edge of the viewing platform. He stood up and thought about what he was doing there, before remembering what he had left in his life. Nothing. He was just a waste of space, in his own mind. He had to do it. Anger rushing through him, he climbed his way up from the viewing platform, to the spire of Rotterdam Tower. The oversized needle was right next to him and a helicopter was approaching him.

 

'Brucie, I know my own cousin. He has an unforgiving attitude, which is the reason he is doing this. He can't forgive himself.' Roman explained, high off the ground in Liberty City.

'I doubt he is crazy enough to kill himself!' Brucie replied, not believing what is going on.

'He must be at the top of Rotterdam Tower!'

 

They eventually got there, and saw Niko standing on the edge.

'Don't do it, cousin!' Roman shouted to him. Niko turned his head and saw Roman and Brucie, in a maverick helicopter. Roman had opened the door and was pleading as best as he could to Niko.

'I must! What do I have to lose!' Niko shouted back. Roman started crying and was still shouting to him from the helicopter.

'What about mine and Mallorie's child? Don't you want to see its face?'

Niko didn't know how to answer this question, so he ignored it, stepped away from the edge and started running towards it.

'NO!' Roman shouted. He panicked and jumped out the helicopter, landing on the platform. He got up, and sprinted to Niko. Right as Niko was about to jump, Roman grabbed hold of him. Niko was stopped from jumping by that. But because of the speed Niko was going and the instant stop, the force threw Roman forward. Roman screamed as he swiftly hit the ground. Niko was jaw dropped and anger rushed through him.

'ARRRRRRGGGHHH! WHAT THE f*ck IS WRONG WITH ME?' Niko shouted, his voice echoing through Algonquin.

'You bastard! You just killed a father and a husband! Wait until I break it to Mallorie!' Brucie said from the helicopter. The helicopter went higher and started flying away, but Niko (who was filled with rage) pulled out his rocket launcher. He aimed, fired and the helicopter burst into flames before becoming out of control and crashing into the GetaLife building.

 

Niko didn't do a run up now, and jumped off the building, speeding through the air to be in a better place...

good though a few wrongy bits

 

 

having completed this game you have a few flaws aswell as spelling errors:

 

the baby is SHE not an "IT" and in the game roman calls niko that it is a girl called kate:

 

finnaly niko would never call his cousin a dumb f*ck he would insult him lessly but not as harsh

Actually, the baby's gender is not confirmed. Roman said that if it IS a girl, he would call it Kate.

 

Spelling errors? My spell checker only spotted words such as Niko and Darko.

 

I will tone the insult down too. Thanks again for the feedback!
