'Monster' washes up in America

Recommended Posts

ghost of delete key

Whatever it is (and it doesn't look like a fake), it is certainly a carnivore. It can't be a dog, though... not really because the tooth details do not match well at all, but take a close look at the 'paws'. From what we can see, the claws look more like a bear's, or like a sloth or aardvaark. Besides, I can see no evidence of pads, but there appears to be a mass of skin between the claws, as if it had somewhat webbed feet. mercie_blink.gif

From the pic we may assume the 'beak' is simply a broken or gnawed-off maxilla, but only the folks who handled the corpse know for certain. Otherwise, it could be just about anything.

I say it's a clam-digging parrotfishdogbearpig, obviously strayed from its Atlantean owner.

Somewhere on a coral reef deep in the Hudson Canyon hangs its picture posted with a reward.

Or maybe it's a Doberman Sinker. tounge.gif

What would a picture after Domino's look like?

Do I want to know?

So, if this thing is supposedly a monster, unknown to man...

What's up with the piece of cloth tied around its leg?

Seems like either a badly decomposed dog or a publicity stunt like others have suggested.

The question is...can a dog have sex with a sea turtle? I'll let you guys answer that.

Well if I can do it, I don't see why a dog can't.

It looks like a dog, and sort of a pig, but with a chicken's beak. Also, if it were a dog as someone seems to have "proved", why would it wash up on a beach? Fair enough it was in the water, but wouldn't the owner be like "Where's mah dawg?" and go look for it? Unless it was a stray of course.

Lol, Mark, I love the way you built up your opinion and stuff and then broke it down again in the way you expressed yourself. You tried to convince us that someone would go looking for their dog, then you decided that no one would because it was a stray. Anyways, off topic.

I definitely don't think it's a normal animal. There is no part of that....thing that I can identify as part of an everyday animal. I have never seen a dog with a beak, nor a pig with a tail like that. The feet appear to be more human like, like, that of a monkey or sloth, and it's teeth indicate that it is probably a carnivore, or if it is a sea creature, it may only use those teeth that you see to rip up tougher seaweed or something.

It may be a fake, but from what I see, it doesn't appear to be anything that resembles any animal I've ever seen.

Someone's done that on purpose to a dead dog. Or killed the dog first. Either way it's been done on purpose.

I'm a farmer. I've seen it done before. Pretty sick stuff really but you should see some of the stuff you can do with a skinned lamb... It passes the time when you live in the hills.

I also bait weasels.

Someone slayed the monster already, dumped it into the ocean...duh!

have to remember too, when something dead spends time in the water it gets all bloated and is hard to identify.

could it be a sea turtle without its shell?

Of course, I hope all these theories like the one above I posted aren't true. And we have a f*ckin' weird species or experiment that's come around.

When something dies in the water, it gets all inflated and blows up in a wierd shape, It's a dog but it has been blown up with water and most proberly rotted aswell, making it look different than it acutally is.

It's a dog

The mouth doesn't resemble a dog's snout in any way, shape, or form.

I agree with Jake. It's just a water rat.

I actually don't think it's very big. Just look at the sand, the fly, everything. To me, it looks like the picture itself has made it look as big as a dog.

But it's still just not a water rat. confused.gif

I'm confused, has anybody taken this thing in to actually find out what it is?

Everybody should stop their 'it's clearly a *blank' madness, if it were clearly anything there wouldn't be like 12 speculated animals. You could replace blank with dog, water rat, pig, sea turtle, raccoon etc. Check the wikipage to see why it might not be any of those things wikipage.

I just watched the people that photographed it being interviewed, they were very sketchy about stuff bored.gif

People are saying it's a Griffin even though it has no wings whatsthat.gif the people know at the back of their minds it isn't a Griffin but they just want it to be so much that they just block out their other thoughts about it.

This reminds me of when i went to Doly-Moch which is some school trip to Wales i did when i was 11 or something. One day we went to some beach and there was a dead dog that had been washed up onto shore, it was all white like in the picture. I really wanted to photograph it but i had used up all of my pictures, stupid disposable cameras tounge.gif.
