What's going on? People from Bohan have set time aside on Sunday to play the final. We are now at a disadvantage as we do not know who we are playing until like 1hr before so we have no time to prepare. Play the 2nd game tonight plz even if it's 4vs4. We don't wanna have to postpone the final.

Was it in the second official match? Can't remember where I went... I remember the chase but I guess I escaped... I'm good at escaping (chasers not bullets lol)

We had a plan too but didn't work very well in Bohan, no discipline, starting with me

What happened yesterday it's not really a big deal.

That Alderney played 6 vs 8 against what is supposed to be (considering last Cup results and with no offence ) the "weakest" team, shouldn't be a problem for the Champs.

IT HAPPENED BEFORE TO DUKES (and other teams) AND WE DIDN'T GOT SOOOOO DAMN UPSET!

 

A "few" examples from 2nd Cup:

1) DUKES-BOHAN,

Dukes 5 + 1 random HG (a player doesn't know is in a competition) + toot that got d/c for a while

vs Bohan, 7 + jadey that JG... Bohan wins.

2) ALDERNEY-ALGONQUIN, 8 vs 7, Alderney wins.

3) ALGONQUIN-ALDERNEY, Algonquin 5 + barbad that LG and JG, Alderney 7, Alderney wins.

4) ALDERNEY-DUKES, Alderney 8 vs Dukes 6 + 1 random HG (that JG), Alderney wins

5) DUKES-ALDERNEY, DUKES 6 + tjb that JG 10m to ened vs ALDERNEY 8. Dukes wins!

6) ALGONQUIN-BOHAN 8 vs 7, Algonquin wins.

7) BOHAN-ALGONQUIN 7 vs 8, Bohan wins.

8) ALGONQUIN-DUKES 8 (1 LG near end) vs 5 + 2 players that LG and JG. Algonquin wins.

9) ALDERNEY-BOHAN, 7 vs 6 + 2 players d/c, Alderney wins.

10) BOHAN-ALDERNEY, 8 vs 7, Bohan wins.

11) ALDERNEY-BOHAN, 7 vs 6 + 2 players d/c, Alderney wins.

12) DUKES-ALGONQUIN, 7 vs 5 + 1 LG and JG. Dukes wins.

And I'm not gonna post the first Cup cause I hope my point is clear.

 

SEE MY POINT?

Unbalanced matches happen all the time in DTW Cup because of connection issues or lobby problems.

And they happen to all of the teams. Alderney got an advantage cause of this in some matches exactly like all of the teams involved. This time happened to you to be less players. Algonquin played a lot of matches with less men (like the other teams) and they never bailed out of a game because of this. So what happened yesterday is normal and I'm sure that nobody tried to cheat or anything like that.

THE PROBLEM (or the solution) IS THAT PEOPLE MUST STAY CALM IN THESE SITUATIONS AND WORK OUT THINGS WITHOUT ACCUSING EACH OTHER OF UNFAIR PLAY.

That's it. End of the story.

If we start following this path we should reschedule all of the 2nd Cup... crazy, right?

I'll work out a rule for next Cup but unbalanced matches will happen again cause it's something we cannot control so we shall deal with it with common sense remembering that we are supposed to have fun.

NOW JUST PLAY THE MATCH ON SUNDAY (20 MIN. FFS!), AROUND 9pm UK TIME.

HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE FINISHED BEFORE 10pm AND THEN WE CAN PLAY THE FINALS.

BOHAN: JUST MAKE A DOUBLE PLAN IN ADVANCE CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY OF EITHER ALGONQUIN OR ALDERNEY BEING THE OTHER FINALIST. IT'S NOT LIKE U NEVER PLAYED AGAINST THEM BEFORE, RIGHT?

I think the rule should be always start with even teams then what happens, happens. And no leaving matches regardless of their being 10 secs left

I Just read 3 pages of bitching, was fun now I am done. Anyway, No way that I am playing next sunday.. or next weekend at that. Its obviously got to be fair to alderney aswell so if the final gets put back a week i dont think it would be that big a deal, who cares about christmas anyway ha ha.

 

Im into my second bottle of wine and watching the girls aloud show with my gf, i keep thinking does that make me gay but how could it as she is next to me.

sorry also i remember getting back from work last night and replying to joes message before going on to play tw with doc, i sent him a pm saying i think i may have just started something on dtw forum, he replied saying " dont worry i will sort it" he then wrote at end dadriowski, ha ha i acually felt relieved and carried on playing thinking doc will sort this if it gets messy ha ha.

 

It shows were all growing into adults that we can sort things ourselves ha ha ha ha, god im drunk.

I said 21 but I meant as soon a su can. It's just 20 minutes.

After that we can all play the finals.

Even if by chance the game starts only at 22 u'll be finished by 22.20 so we'll still able to play the finals.

 

@ Kayla: they did play one game and that counts, so they only need to play one.

 

@ M: u'd better post your settings now. What's the difference? I don't think that after their game everyone will just jump in the forums to read your settings. That will cause confusion. And really the settings are meant to be post as soon as possible so that the other team knows what settings they're goin to play.

 

DUKES settings at home for the little final will be the same as yesterday.

At home we are playing as Russians, Traffic and Peds high, Drizzle, evening.

Respawn 1 second. Team Chat only. Weapons Powerful.

(I found out that there's no respawn distance option in TW )

 

The rule is always been that teams must gather 8 players before the match through GSs work. If that does not happen in no way the team (and its GSs) that made a good job and gathered 8 players should give up of one of their players. Common sense and fair play must be used in these cases. By chance yesterday we gave up on one of our players in first match (DUKUS) and gave u our reserved HG in the second (IRISH TIGER) BUT IF WE WANTED we could have played the first match 7 vs 6 and the second 7 vs 5.

I hope it's clear that accepting the 6 vs 6 was my decision and not something we had to do cause you had less men.

I did it out of common sense, friendship, fair play. If I didn't do that god knows how many more whining posts we would have read today...

BUT THE RULE IS THAT TEAMS MUST SHOW UP WITH 8 PLAYERS OR SUBS HG IN CASE THEY NEED 1 OR MORE GANGSTERS.

If they fail to gather 8 players it's their fault. I failed many times and I dealt with the consequences.

THE END

 

As for maintaining the same team:

The same teams that took part in the 2nd DTW Cup will fight each other in 4 matches to decide the DTW SUPER CUP CHAMP!

So take away the "2nd" bit and put "3rd" instead and u will understand that the second SuperCup will be played by the (NEW) teams formed in the 3rd DTW Cup (february ). So... nope.

 

More:

There's no way to know if someone leaves a game because d/c or because he wants. Usually it's d/c and we should all trust each other. I repeat it: tags are not really made of gold...
