...hey guys...just confirming im down for algonquin tonight....i'll be online before the time so we can test connections,sorry i couldnt lend a helping hand last night guys....we tried profusely to get things right...resets,new rooms...etc ....eitherway...today's a new day...and i dont think i'll quit gta4 out of the frustration yet!

wat the f*ck was up wit that, i don't think anyone went trough a whole game, and on the second set there was 4 rank 8s and 1 rank 9 on jammers and all rank 0(me) 4 5 6 7s on the ruskies, try to even it out peops!

what you talking about. The teams were decided a few weeks back, they're not based on rank/level etc.

still pretty unfair, regardless of what time it was arranged... anyhow, i was a 'hired' and i got invited to 4.5 different sets (not very organised gameplay, but then organisation's more work than play) and everytime (my team) was easily beaten from the starts, not that i'm bitching that my team always sucks, but it does and i don't think it's just me dragging it down...

Anyways, I'm Paul. I didn;t know Cavin was quoting my msn convo with him. I don't want to get into any arguement but I most often see both sides of the story.

I understand both points of view, Riko has put in alot of hard work and effort creating this, and also thinking through the rules etc. It's annoying for him to have people drop out, say they are in and not turn up etc.

 

I also understand Cavins point of view that he was raring to go, but had to sit around for 30mins doing nothing, especially when he was entertaining friends. But sometimes the waits can't be helped, coz its mainly connection problems.

 

Thankfuly I'm able to see everyone in my team when Twind hosts, nothing worse than not seeing people when they are connected ingame. Dukus wasn;t so lucky though and we had to wait around to see if he could get connected.

 

 

Can we all learn to forgive and forget?

Paul, the problem is that everybody had to wait, not just Cavin... Then, when we finally play a 7 vs 7 and we just need to start the second match, most of the Algonquin team leaves.

And Cavin leaves and goes on COD4... He could at least send a bloody PSN message instead of disappearing like that... (he did send one to know at what time the match was: useless message if he had the respect to read the time in the thread).

If for him entertaining his mates on COD4 is more important than DTW Cup, I have no problem. But if that's the case we really don't need him here. A lot of us had stuff to do and nobody liked to wait 1 hour in the lobby to get it started. Last sunday he plays in the wrong team, this sunday he ditches us. He's just a player that doesn't respect the others and that doesn't spend a minute of his time to read the fckng front page to know times and teams. I always give a second chance to people but this time I'm not gonna do it. I need to sort out who's reliable and who's not. I don't wanna waste my precious time. Yesterday I spent more than 5 hours in the forum and 20 minutes playing... See my point?

 

About Bohan vs Alderney: we'll try to do that next sunday or next monday...

 

Second round: when we do that we'll try to do the 5 matches in a row

 

Neutral Territory: Dukes or Algonquin.... I don't know, we'll have to vote on that once we know which is the second team that goes to final round...

 

JUST A NOTE ABOUT MY LIFE IN A LOBBY:

While trying to start the match I received more than 100 PSN messages in one hour

Also our team and Bohan is well organised because of its leaders and gs, well we see them as leaders as they go running around doing everything, the other teams have no one doing hard work, i get bowza and twind pm and we got a thread thats why we successful and we win .

 

Communication is the key guys, the other teams really need to consider some type of communication other then this thread. Can't you all get a forum like twind did?, we all talk there like secret agents....

He has done an excellent job organising a strategy & communicating.

 

You owe him an apology, BrAvA, and I'd thank you to carefully check what your typing so that you ensure you say EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN in future.

 

Also I don't know what it was like for Bean but it sounds like he tried pretty hard to organise his team - so does he deserve a serve, especially considering HE WAS VOLUNTEERED?

 

Further, we, the weaker team going in, have started the first game away in two matches in a row (alderney is probably in the same boat) which puts you on the back foot straight away. Not an excuse, just a FACT.

 

Under those circumstances it is difficult to maintain strategy and structure, especially when we are getting absolutely PUMMELLED.

 

Also Cavin the thing you've done that's p!ssed me off is quoting Celtic without his knowlege in a way that drops him right in the sh!t.

 

He's already been attacked once in this thread because YOU put his @ss on the line.

 

I think you also owe Celtic an apology, Cavin.

JUST A NOTE ABOUT MY LIFE IN A LOBBY:

WOW, you wrote me more than I wrote you though.

 

For the next times. I think everyone who is participating should know the settings for a DTW. And when somebody gets kicked that somebody is trying to host next.

 

I get that "kicked" thing a lot but mostly when I try to play with the same people. Bates f.e. just can't go in a match that I am hosting, but when he is hosting it's all good. I think we might save some time this way instead that the same host is trying it over and over again.

 

Also, getting out of GTA and back into it helped for me yesterday, unfortunaetly you couldn't wait and I missed 5 min of the game. I was that pissed that I had to get the most kills of my team!

You're right but there's no fun in sitting in a lobby for an hour because of a disrespectful bunch of no shows (or no brain).

 

It works when people have respect...

 

Hopefully it will work better now that I kicked out the useless players that waste our time

 

I'm not stressed, I can do this alone no problem, I'm just tired of babysitting the no shows or the ditchers than the next day post a SORRY like we all are a bunch of idiots that have to take their crappy excuses about having to entertain mates. (I might have sex instead of staying in a lobby... If u know what I mean)
