Dukus, tjb and PK were cool as usual (thanks guys ) and we played a 4 vs 4 in Bohan (3 sad turfs... lol)

Boca joined them as HG (and got d/c once and came back... the host got d/c ).

 

I had my dose of problems in getting online in time. The damn console was refusing to recognize that there was a connection to the internet.

 

Anyway, the cursed 4th Edition has come to an end. Broker won the Cup.

I wanna congrats the Bandits and thank everyone that was in the tournament.

 

In the next days I will slowly post the results, the tag winners and update the stats and Hall of Fame.

 

The usual Super Cup is not going to happen. This event needs a looooooooooooong brake.

I'm not sure if it will close down for good but one thing is sure: the break will last a looooooooong time.

Bohan WON and allowed Broker to play a tie breaker in two weeks. All of a sudden i read that Broker won this. Doc, I am sorry, but this is not even close to being fair.

 

You lost to -M-, Joe, dukus, tjb and myself and you are actually writing that you are the winners by playing against dukus, Kush, TJB and an HG. Doc that is pathetic. Sad sad sad. I would be embarrased to put that tag on my sig.

 

There is no one on any of these forums (except you) that wanted you to win one of these titles, but with what i have just read, all you did was steal a victory and called it your own. That is downright sad. I am not even pissed, i am actually sad for all of the Broker players. I KNOW enough of you to know that this is not how you wanted to be champions. I am sorry that you are not enjoying the sweet victory that goes with the title.

 

Doc send me a message when/if you want regarding this, but as for the DTW, i am sad to see it's legacy tarnished.

A lot happened in the past days. DDZN has closed down cause of this cursed and stupid event and all the fights that generated.

We agreed on a decider in two weeks the night we played the first match after I offered to Bohan the title in the PSN chat.

You all agreed on a decider instead of the title.

During the past week I posted a scheduling post to see if we could do it this Sunday instead of two weeks.

Three members of Bohan said yes, two (M and Joe) weren't sure and Joe ultimately decided to not play for RL reasons.

M couldn't make it.

Sunday night we were in a lobby. 5 Broker and 3 Bohan.

Hodgey from Broker left cause he was sick of the sad show of one more DDZN DTW argument..

We were down to 4 vs 3.

I asked the Bohan team present in the lobby (Dukus, PK and tjb) if they wanted to play that night with 1 HG or if they preferred to play in two weeks. They agreed on playing. Nobody forced them to do so. They wanted to play. They were all official Bohan members and decided for the team. We played and Broker won.

No stealing, no evil plan behind that match. We just played the match after all the s*it that went on during the all cup.

And tbh everyone was simply happy to finish this s*it since it seems a lot of people really take it way too seriously...

You didn't reply to this e-mail and I just assumed that u were very busy in RL as you have been in the last months.

No problem in that really. I know why you are busy.

So, since you basically were available only one night during the all Cup, I didn't think you were too worried about having no time for the decider. I just assumed you weren't interested and that you were too busy for this.

Anyway, a simple check of the topic and you would have find out that we were going to play last Sunday (beside my e-mail...).

 

At the end of the day nobody in Broker actually celebrated the win in this topic. We are just wearing the avi as a simple consolation of all the s*it we had to read over Broker and from other DDZN members during this Cup.

Something not new in this competition and something that happened along most of the other editions.

Trust me, nobody in Broker is utterly happy of this win and of how it happened.

We had to deal with some fckd up situations and with some really lame, rude, whining and crazy attitudes.

Not talking about anyone in particular here. It was quite a general thing going on among at least the 70% of the players.

 

Unfortunately the legacy of this Cup is not related to this dumb final match but to those immature attitudes that just killed the whole spirit of the Cup as I imagined it when I created it. Those attitudes finally caused the collapse of DDZN and this sad ending for the Cup which probably won't come back very soon. If it will ever come back will be as an event people will be able to take part only if invited to... or something like that.

 

I guess people are just not ready to play a stupid event in a gaming forum without hating each other to the guts or without discussing over who wins and how.

Now that's fcking sad imo. Not sad for Broker, sad for the people that used this topic as a World War of Immaturity battleground.

 

I think you really should KNOW what I'm talking about.

As for Bohan as a team in this Cup, maybe you should know that it was the most unorganized team of all, the one that would show up at times but usually wouldn't at all, and that basically didn't care much about the whole event.

On top of that, if it wasn't for my HG hunt in first matchday, Bohan wouldn't have been even in the final.

Now I do understand Twind's point... it's too late though

 

I just want a point to be utterly clear: when I talk of Bohan team not being there I'm not talking about Dukus that played in all matches (at times as the only member of Bohan) or of tjbcosmic that always posted his availability/unavailability usually 7 days before the match or that wakes up at dawn to play with a smile on his face.

All my respect to them. Also because of them we played last night. To avoid wasting their time one more time.

I feel like a woman! I understand both of you, mainly because I dont really know the whole story (despite that novel of a forum post Riko typed down there! ).

 

Just one thing Riko:

Having competitions among people with competitive minds, you cant prevent anger and frustration. The better the event, the bigger rant of the loser (I can call me as a perfect example), so this event wasnt a bad idea at all. Maybe it was just a bit too good to play it as a group of friends...there should have only been teams of total strangers against DDZN and friends. I bet ya, it wouldnt have come to what it did.

Still think this event was great. The most thrilling 2 x 20 mins you could possible get in gaming on a Sunday night!

Doc I agree with Rob and Taso also. What other events have lasted a over a year on this forum? This is the best event on the forum but as Rob said peoples desire to win often disrupts it. Most likely cos we play over the internet with microphones if it was in person whole different story there would imo be no arguments.

 

Viva la DTW ! Hope we can get a few games going in a few months time say easter time? Maybe teams come back to take on Broker or maybe try and organise a "Classics" night say the original Alderney take on SC winners and other Champs? Could be fun.

For me was frustrating losing three or four times in a row for 50 bucks, but i can live with that, we are last. I finally played the whole tournament, 8/8. We've not made any plan (always on the fly) and we were acting like lost sheep most of the time. But all were really intense battles, adrenaline rush that is not present in a normal match.

 

Thanks for your work doc. If we are all on fire is coz we care about that, if we would not, nobody would write a single word about that..

what about me, i'd be there and If i remember correctly i played in the final aswell and i let people know if that i couldn't play the original final. We were very disorganised this time, but so were wer last time we won. People on Bohan haven't been playing GTA alot recently including myself, therefore maybe there wasn't the motivation there for some players as in previous cups, i don't know, just guessing. Its a pity such a great event has ended on such a low
