Dukes vs Alderney, 2nd match was laggy as a particularly laggy lag pie for Alderney, resulting in a big old argument. Everyone eventually kisses and makes up and a replay of Alderney's home game is agreed upon for sunday at 9.30 as there are no other games going on this weekend due to doc's unfortunate absence.

Still dunno if we should aim for the exact same rosters or try to get Byron in for the HG we had... on one side Byron finally deserves another game, on the other, it was AbSo's first action in this cup as a HG, that been taken away now then.

Well, Byron if we play the exact teams, you can get into a possible 3rd game (decider) in Bohan and next weekend of course. We try to final you up, don't worry!!

 

About that 500$ fine, think it's okay. 500$ ain't too much in a TW, but would be a sign of good will by Alderney after they left the last game without a note and so on. And Dukes would have less to complain if you would win the rematch by more than that amount then... the possible game 3 in Alderney would be equalized again of course. What do you say Alderney?

Hmm, how about we take pics as usual and see IF you won, if it was by more than 500$ or not then?

 

Well, it was Doc's suggestion not mine. I don't want to be in the middle of the next argument now...

But I think it's fair, caus Dukes wouldn't have to be in this game in the first place...

Besides that, we won the "lagfest" by 5K. 10% as a fine is quite low therefor, but a sign of sportsmanship by your side after Dukes decided to take you on although they weren't forced to.

So was our comback in Broker. down >1,500 less that half way through with all 4 turfs belonging to the enemy...

 

... then a vicotory, by a hair.

 

Thats what makes all the BS worth it. Lobby nightmares, bad blood, and such. Its matches like the one we had last week. It would have been great with either team winning (obviously i am happy it was mine).

Yeah but it's a rematch and is still fair.. especially when you deserve to play. Plus, i think the -500 pretty much makes it fair regardless and same amount of people.. only difference is your actually playing like you deserved too..

I am in for this Sunday. I don't like the idea of the $500 handicap. The first one was too close and it would suck to win by less than that. Plus if we do win the rematch we would still need the decider. On the other hand I won't complain about a $500 handicap if we decide to do it since Dukes is giving us the rematch.
