Psysky Posted July 10, 2005 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Hi Dudes, I thought it would be fun to tell the other what is the weirdest glitch that failed your mission (not bug, talking about stupid ironic situation that makes you feal really f*cked). Here are two of mine favourites: 1. Mission "Cop Wheels" (drive 4 specific police bikes on a moving on the highway Packer). So everything goes smoothly and I got the first 2 bikes on, I got the third one and headed to the Packer and what do ya think... some stupid station wagon (Regina I think) got on the Packer and stuck there blocking my way... damn, time is ticking man... I tried everything to drop him off the packer with no luck, then I got really pissed of and blew the thing up, it of course blew my packer and the 2 bikes... here comes the rage 2. Mission "Breaking the Bank at Caligula's" (the final heist mission). You know how at the end of the mission you got run on the roof and gotta take the parachute at the end of the roof... well I almost got to it and had to make a final jump, well don't know what happened but I jumped to the right instead of forward... while I was falling down all the way to the floor I was holding my head and couldn't believe what the heck could I have just done... but wait, what happened is that due to my pumped up Health I didn't die and the hit left me on 0.0000001% health. Well it could have been a good thing if I fell on the ground and not on some platform that surrounds the whole hotel and is 3 meter from the ground. There was no place that I could jump down and get to a vehicle and maybe take a Heli or something to reach the parachute (and the stupid mission cannot go on without it).... I was using a Sabre or a Clover or whatever the car is called in SA to chase the train. I was near the front of it, on the other side of the tracks when another train came barreling down. Just as we collided, I jumped from the car and landed behind the train I should've been following. As I watch it drive away I turn around to see my car getting pummeled down the other end of the tunnel. Now, I'm stuck in the country side with no weapons and near no road. Psysky Posted July 11, 2005 Author Share Posted July 11, 2005 Haha, yeah it happens, maybe half of my missions when you have some company they get run by a car... of course it is realistic, but why the heck so many times that happens... I thought of one more... It is the mission where you get the Hydra (Vertical Bird). Well I got the hydra from the first time and began swaying arround tryign to figure out the controls while the other hydras started chasing me. After 10 minutes fun flight I destroyed 3 of them and the last one always evaded me and after solid 5 minutes more I finaly locked him on my aim and began shooting as mad...he is down, I'm so damn happy that I don't even notice where I am now... last things I saw were some red dots on my map and then some SAM sites, then of course tasted the sand of the restricted area Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

F-s-X Posted July 11, 2005 Share Posted July 11, 2005 I was doing the `Small town liqour store´ and I had chased down all the cowboys with Catalina and was driving back when I fell off a cliff and in the water. "Oh great now Catalina will drown" i thought for myself but to my surprise she was swimming. There was no place to get of the water from but like send from heaven a boat came. When I played the PS2 version with a friend's PS2, I tried to give Denise a kiss, but it went to a cut scene and she got stuck somewhere. I had to reset the PS2. It can turn up old topics that are the only ones relevant to the searcher. 6 days is nothing anyway, if it was more than a couple of weeks, or a month old than it might not be so appropriate to 'ressurect' it. I was dropping off my 10th level ho when out of no where a police chase came along the same sidewalk and BLAM... my ho and the John were killed as the criminal car whacked them... so I get a bit upset but I start over again (I hate this pimping thing since it seems even more pointless than the courier missions)... now I have finished 6 drop offs and heading to pick up my ho... I am alongside (sidewalk) Men in Pants casino when another police chase happens... this time the cop car slams in to me and before I can correct it, my car slides in to the man made lake thing... Now I am getting frustrated... so I start again... I am on level 3 this time and I am pulling up to drop off the girl which I guess I get too close to the john since he does one of the famous ped jumps in to my car (my car was stopping or actually slow rolling) and I failed once again since I didn't take care of the customer... Psysky Posted July 13, 2005 Author Share Posted July 13, 2005 (edited) Hahaah guys, this is hilarious, three times a failed pimping mission would make me so mad, I'll probably go waste my gaming day in killing all the cops I see and then all the paramedics. The traffic really make me nervous, cops chasing crooks, dashing ambulances and overprotective for their cars drivers that are praying for a bullet going after you... there was a mission that I completed and decided to save the car into my garage, My care was smoking and maybe 2 or 3 hits could have set me on fire. I almost reached my garage when I hit a taxi driver... he flipped out and started turning the car to chase me to my death. I decided that I'll be able to reach the garage without having him destroy my precious car, but seems I underestimated his abilities, the guy was driving like crazy and in a second he was behind me pushing me like hell with insane speed towards my garage door... maybe meters before the hit I saw my car's ending... he slammed me into the garage door (didn't have the time to open)... flames... pressing Enter insanely... explosion...loading the game and killing as many taxis I saw with a RPG Edited July 13, 2005 by Psysky Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
water boy Posted July 13, 2005 Share Posted July 13, 2005 NOt a glitch, but, in the mission where you bust the generators in the dam I got on the plane and tried to jump off but i couldn't. I wondered why, and got frustrated, because i had crashed, or got tired pressing triangle. Then, I finally got to know that you had to go high. REALLY high. I was relieved. 2. I was doing Vigilante missions using the interior glitch-- and I got outside to buy my self more time when a plane crashes not too far from me-- didn't get me at that instant, but a chain of explosions did, failing me the mission. Anywho, it's all good stuff Maybe the kind that likes to stay home and play GTA are extinct I think there are a few girls that are mixed between shopping and GTA. The first mission I failed was the 2nd mission where they introduce you to stuff. I had to go into a Pizza restaurant i think, and when i went in (it changed to fists), I changed my weapon to a gun, and frightened the owner. Thus failing the mission. Anyhoo, the only annoying time I failed a mission was the one where you have to follow the train for Big Smoke. He managed to cap the last Vago just as the train was going over the bridge for mission failed, I swear, I nearly threw the damn controller at the TV. I want to see this world bring forth girls who have fun with nice guys AND marry them, never letting the jerks have a single ounce of pleasure from them. I was doing Supply Lines, and after killing all Berkeley's couriers, I got back to the same roof where you have to land. I managed to get on the roof, but a bit to the left of the red circle, about 5 feet away. As I try to drive on the roof about 5 feet to the red circle, I run out of fuel and it says mission failed. Btw, Supply Lines was not a hard mission at all, I passed with my first try and yes, of course it is a little hard to get used to controls of the nasty baron, but if that is an issue, why does everybody try to fly it, did the idea of driving it occur to them Btw again, we can add to the title of the topic " and what type of girl is the one that plays GTA" (cool name for a new topic I must say ). I stay behind my opinion I shared with the Cat in the beginning of that thread, and I'm not surprised that only good things are said for "this type of girl".. way to go Dancing Cat So, who else got really screwed up lately? I realize that many people have done Supply Lines on PS2, maybe I don't have enough skill to do it (even with cheats), but someone in the forum said it was much easier on PC (Xbox unconfirmed). I wish I had both. @soleil: I admire that you got it all the way to the rooftop. I couldn't get it close to the building. Did you beat the mission yet? Well, I hope I can step forward as being the type of girl who doesn't date all the jerks. I'm too infatuated with CJ right now I think some of CJ's replies to passersby are really an example of some guys. A hooker compliemented my CJ on his clothes, and he replied "I may look good, but I'm an asshole." I hate missions with all these petty restrictions. I think they should allow you to sometimes win a mission just as you're about to fail it, or something like that. Like a last chance. Although Supply Lines wasn't TOO bad for me. I attempted it a couple of times, then read The Untouchable's guide to it, and then nailed it one my 4th try. But I gather from other topics that the controls for flying planes on the PC are pretty crap? Well as my target gets on the train, I hop on the Sanchez that's parked near by and start following the objective. All's fine, I'm dodging the on-comming trains etc. Then in the country side where you exit the tunnel and approach a bridge I hear a strange sound getting louder and louder. Then I start turning my mouse to see what's responsible for that noise, guess what I saw? A damn Rustler coming down straight at me, I try to escape it's collision area but the Sanchez isn't really that fast of a bike, so the formerly airborne vehicle smacks right into me bringing sudden death + mission failure. The last thing i remembered was a big explosion & the wasted sign second attempt: level 8 countryside some cops flipped their car in the midle of the countryside & set my motorcycle on fire, i killed them, & i didn't see any more cop cars third attempt: level 9 the suspects werre in the airport 4'th attempt: level 10 cops pushed me in to the sea, than the chopper killed me 5'th attempt: level 7 about 5 cops on motorcycles werre chasing me, they shot me in the back 6'th, 7'th & 8'th attempts: cops killed me 9'th attempt: i ran out of time ... 24'th attempt: 12 levels passed on a rhino, about 254 criminals & 5555555 cops killed 3.Grove 4 life: an unmarked balla shot me with an ak47 4.Firefighter: the thuck flipped over in level 12 5.paramedic missions: some ballas threw me out of the ambulance 6.Intro: I was splattered by a train 7.woozie/farewell my love I drowned my cars in the same places 4 about 12 times 8.Chilliad: cobra run: i was first, the others got stuck, but a plane crashed in the middle of the road, making me loose my bike... i went flying of the mountain i felled from my bike, it went down the road, i chased it for about two minutes, than CJ went arround a bike 4 about 5 times before getting in... results: new best record: 8:54 9. Flying school: circle the airstrip: when i was landing another plane bumped in to me & knocked me out of the way when destroying the cars with the hunter I landed for about 5 times in a row 10.N.O.E. I got hit by a rocket when landing 11.Freefall same as above? (i got 5 star wanted level) 12.the xxxxxx mission all i got left was my sniper rifle, a camera & 2% health.
