ds143
Every GTA has a TON of songs...and admittedly some of them are better than others. In your opinion, as I am trying to load up my ipod with catchy, amazing songs from GTA, what are the best songs in GTA IV? THANKS!
Hart
Jean Michel Jarre: Oxygene Pt 4 The Who: The Seeker Theres more I cant remember names to and the ones from the trailer
Gielster
The ones that ''grabbed'' me into the gamesphere the most are: San Andreas: Well, on the first island: Too short - The ghetto. After that i started listening K-dst, and then i heard America - Horse with no name. That song realy made me enjoy Las Venturas. GTA 3: Mostly listening to Flashback fm there. Somehow the songs : ''She's on fire'' and ''Rush rush''. I know the station is realy stupid, but somehow i always had it playing. GTA VCS: Must be Phill Collins - In the air tonight. And PHill Collins - Easy lover. GTA VC: Michael Jackson - Billy Jean. GTA LcS:: The theme song. GTA IV: Not played yet, but the theme and Flashing lights by Kanye West, which was played in one of the trailers realy made me feel the games sphere. AbSoLuTiOn
Every single song on Radio Broker, Jail Break by Thin Lizzy (i think it's called that), the Queen one on LRR is pretty catchy, the music on Electro Choc is good, i only know the name of one, which is Tits and Acid by Simian Mobile Disco, some of the LCHC isn't bad either, but, yet again, don't know any of the song names. Flesh-n-Bone
From GTA3: Flashback FM MSX - were my favorites. GTA Vice City: Grandmaster Flash - Message (and any other Wildstyle track.) San Andreas: All the songs from Radio Los Santos and some of Playback FM Liberty City Stories: Flashback FM and MSX are my fav's again. Lips 106 and Rise FM were alright! Vice City Stories: Fresh 105 FM! IV: The whole sucked equally IMO.
clarke_19_rangers
& LCD Soundsystem - get innocous both GREAT songs
Blackadder.
Just to let a few people know, the song is 'Vagabond' by 'Greenskeepers,' not 'Vegabond' or 'Vagabound.' Other than that song, I'd probably say 'Get Innocuous!' by 'LCD Soundsystem,' 'Evil Woman' by 'Electric Light Orchestra' (ELO) and if you like something loud, '& Down by Boyz Noize' isn't too bad. Last but not least, if you don't mind some orchestral music, 'Pruit Igoe' by 'Phillip Glass' is one of the best.

Slamman
The Queen track is growing on me, but will NEVER be my fav. I hear that one is a Sam Houser favorite, he insisted it be in the game. Genesis' MAMA is most excellent... RJD and SABBATH are the pinnacle but leave you wanting after it ends. Black Crowes, quality there!! Goodbye Horses I hated initially, but it has a unique history that makes it endearing and it's an interesting sorta mellow. NYG would be better if Ace Frehley had belted it out in GTA4! Bob Seger was a good choice with his song. Thin Lizzy is not a band I favor either, but Jailbreak is best done from these guys and AC/DC!! The Who SEEKER is one of the other two at the top.... BS being numero Uno!! I've been OD'ing on The Who lately and is it ever good! New old Who coming this fall, they plan another album release of songs reworked from their early days, other's tunes that influenced them as a band. Kennenlerner
Ruslana - Wild Dances. I mean...the song won over the whole of Europe...Surely she can take over the world! The song is my favourite song ever!!! I creamed when I found out it was in the game.
Slamman
I neglected Pruit Igoe, damn good song from the best Trailer for "4"!! I also like hearing the BOGGS as well, on Radio Broker. I hated MAssive B while playing pool like a lot of you, but I am listening to it more to try to get into it, it seems easier then the other stations because it's over the top I think. LCHC is good, but the songs could be better, even if the bands stayed the same.... That could be said of LRR as well too.
D- Ice
Jean Michel Jarre: Oxygene Pt 4 The Who: The Seeker Theres more I cant remember names to and the ones from the trailer Great taste man, I totally love Chezidek's Call Pon Dem - Thanks for posting the link, I always wanted to know that awsome song's name (should of used ZiT eh?). Also Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene is a great relaxing song. Love listening to it after realising I finished yet another mission which is almost identical to all the other 'go in, clean up, get out with something or other' missions before. I also like Jeru The Damaja's D. Original. The version I found on Youtube has two more verses than the one on The Classics, which only has the first verse, with some looping and scratching. They should've kept the rest of the song, which is just as cool as that first verse IMO. Edited July 24, 2008 by D- Ice
Slamman
If playlists from heavy rotation here in the USA were used, it would add to the feeling of boredom, would it not?? I think most songs here are never or rarely played, and I enjoy that to a degree, but so was Vice City and VCS and the others, I think even K-Rose had tracks you don't hear on commercial country music radio, present day. Anyway, they'd do well to add to the stations via DLC, something better... I think it's something they could easily alter to expand the game, however...but cost of licensing maybe a reason for both... allowing a lesser known song to license for low cost, or adding to major addition costs in DLC. I think in place of country, jazz was an inspired choice that hit surprisingly close to home for both Housers!!
