There is a huge crime rate with powerful mobs and gangs popping up everywhere. Corruption and organized crime are always high, if it was a real city, Gotham would probably be the worst city in America. Gangs: Italian Mafia Russian Mafiya Chinese Triads Black Mafia Joker Clown Posse Street gangs etc. You could carjack a Batmobile, lol What do you think? Besides, the GTA would then become only about fighting crime and not doing crime as has been the centre of attraction of all GTAs so far. This idea fizzles out even before you say Gotham. Furthermore your calling African Americans a nationality implies that Black people cannot be deemed just American. and thirdly by taking offence at the term black gangs you are suggesting that there is something inherantly negative about being black, and that the use of the word can only be used disparagingly, or in a derrogatory sense. whereas it's a mere wors that is used to denote somebody of a particular skin pigmentation. I know you probably didn't mean it in a racist way. But crying Racism just because someone uses the term black gangs, is actually more racist and could be deemed insulting. Wouldn't that be racial profiling? No. Racial profiling is a term used by the police. You could do jobs for people like Two-Face, Riddler, Penguin, Joker, etc and when you get like "wanted stars"- that means that batman is onto you and is going to try and stop you- but then it just wouldn't be "GTA"- it'd just be like a DC Comics game or something. Zachstar Posted July 25, 2008 Share Posted July 25, 2008 Possible but I really doubt it. #1 DC comics is about a child watching a cartoon or picking up a comic of superman beating the crap out of a goon and then growing up for some of the darker stories. But those stories don't involve getting a hooker and then killing and stealing the money back afterward which is the big GTA stereotype. I personally like the idea of a Gotham City side game. I think that such a crime infested town with Batman running about can give some seriously good and detailed missions. But there is just no way DC would allow that.
