jimmycoco Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 basically what i want is to create a game of cops and robbers on free mode. why i hear you ask when there is already a cops and robbers game type. well, i want to make it so that everyone doesnt just run around blazing guns everywhere there should still be a cop team, that drive around patroling the place. then there wil be just normal people. the cops wont do anything untill a normal guy commits a crime. be it dangerous driving or shooting someone. then the guy and either get arrested and go to the police station untill bailed out by someone else, or he can get his ass chases and shot down by cops come on you know you want to give it a try. and il leave regular comments just so you know that this game is still going. so leave you live tag and we shall start straight away. hope to see you soon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

People need to understand that this gametype is more of a roleplay in the sense of "cops n' pedestrians who may or may not commit minor/major offenses", not "cops vs. psychopaths that take choppers and raid the police station for half an hour spawn-killing everyone." It's simple stuff, like high-speed chases, robbery standoffs, and even just getting pulled over for speeding. I had a lot of fun with jimmycoco when he was speeding in a Turismo and I took chase with a police cruiser. He was darting in and out of alleys and shortcuts and I was following as best as I could, well enough that he was so focused on losing me he accidently jumped into a dead end. I e-braked my car to block the entrance and he surrendered. No shots fired, no insane crashing or bumping, no massive casualties. Just a high-speed chase that ended in a tense dead-end situation. Both of us agreed that it was textbook sh*t and completely awesome to have done. No killing necessary! However, in a separate event jimmy did indeed pose as a bad guy doing a deal with two other characters in the golf course carpark (jimmy actually called me over saying there was a deal being done because I wouldn't have known otherwise and that was the action could get started). I swung over there with my cruiser and attempted to make an arrest, but they opened fire so I hid behind my cruiser and started trading shots. All of us had simple combat pistols and I managed to down two (one with a headshot and the other in the torso) before the final fellow clipped me and sent me to the ground. Thusly, one criminal escaped and my character died. I gotta say, it was insanely fun hiding behind my cruiser and popping off shots, requesting assistance and being a cop in a standoff. Here is something about what we do: We are the Liberty City Emergency Services (LCES). The LCES is a police clan that tries to play a realistic variation of cops crookes. It's in a team deathmatch mode (with proximity chat) with a cops team and a crooks team. The crooks wait for the cops to get cars and when the cops are ready try to commit crimes realistically. However, we have a databse, so if crooks die alot they get a lower score so therefore, crooks have to play smart. The cops patrol realistically. Basically, our gamemode is very realistic and a fun cops and crooks game mode. It works very well. We do have alot of rules (to keep realism). WE ONLY ACCEPT MATURE PLAYERS. If you join, we expect a commitment to attend our weekly patrols and don't tolerate inactive members. Basically, if you like realistic cops patroling (we occassionally have other police related game modes like VIP, bank heist, etc).
