I was listening to one of the Radio Stations- I think it was Chatterbox with Lazlo- and I think Toni Cipriani was one of the callers. Here was the conversation. Lazlow Jones: Well Toni... Toni: Toni? How did you know my name was Toni? Are you tracing this call, because if you are, you're gonna become real intimately acquainted with- what your brains look like. My name ain't Toni, okay? Lazlow Jones: Alright. Toni: But my mom she keeps goin, Toni, Toni be a real man stand up for yourself don't take no sh*t! But all I wanna do is to be a good son and show that she cares for me, show that she loves me, and you know, say I was a good kid but it seems like nothings ever good enough for her you know what I mean? Benzoboy Posted August 23, 2008 Share Posted August 23, 2008 The whole thread is pretty silly... I mean, how can they reference something they won't make for another 4/5 years yet? Toni Cipriani is in GTA3 too, he gives you mission in Portland. It's easy to tell that the Toni on the radio is the same one you get missions from, they have the same distinctive "Gruff" voice. Smiley001 Posted August 25, 2008 Share Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) I think what Ilovevicecity324 means is: He thinks that the guy who calls Lazlo in GTA 3 is Toni from LCS and not the rendition from GTA 3... He considers it a reference to LCS because Ma kept criticizing Toni about him not being man enough, so Toni called about it in GTA3. He either hasn't noticed that Toni from GTA 3 is also Toni from LCS or he heard that radio conversation before he was introduced to Toni in GTA3. Dodgy Dan Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 Toni's Ma criticizes him in GTA3 aswell, which is why he called about it. He was criticized in LCS aswell but this was just continuation.
