Crude Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 For the straight away tracks such as Drag Kings and Exhaust Fumes, I'd have to say that it would be a close one between the infernus and the NRG900. If you are capable of timing your wheelies and leaning forward's correctly, then the NRG would probably be a bit faster on those maps as long as you can keep your cornering near perfect as well as your wheelies. I highly doubt that any of those records are set Via Infernus. The NRG has a lower Top speed than the Comet and Infernus. So im thinking that its a plausable option for shorter tracks. What would you recommend for Stars in your Eyes? I can't seem to get under 50 seconds in an Infernus but I come close. I don't know how someone got 44 seconds on it, you can't even go off-track for a massive speed before a lap. It's a tough choice because of it having two long straights and two almost U turns. When the countdown begins for the race to start hold the accelerator and the E brake, at the around the one second mark for the Comet let go the ebrake effectivley poping the clutch. Crude Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 Yeah the Comet is alright. Infernus does better in laps in my opinion. It just takes some time learning how to control your ride. If you're just starting out though, of course the comet will be easier to get a grasp of. Also the Comet tends to lose control a lot more easily, while Infernus is a more stable car such as tracks like Terminal Velocity. Just my 2 cents, GL! Im using the standard control scheme PS3 so during the countdown at the race start I hold R2 (gas) and R1 (Handbrake) then let go of the handbrake to pop the clutch. For different cars the timing is different so play around with it. For the Comet you pretty much hold the handbrake as long as possible. The Comet is a much looser car compared to the Infernus. I forgot who but I think it's a Mario Andrettii quote..."If everything is under control you are not going fast enough" I think the initial appeal about the Comet to me at first is the fact thats it's not a fat pig and it can cut though traffic. I don't like the Zonda exaust on the Infernus either. I much preffer a RUF over a Lambo/Zonda. If they only had a Lotus in GTA. That would be tha sh*t.
