lurchseesu420
I'm sure as hell not going to do something like pick up a 1997 GS-T if I really have my heart set on a 99 GSX. I'm not making that mistake again. I'm going to let the deal "come to me", and if the price is right, DING DING DING DING DING! Good idea. Don't sellout and go the FWD route just because they're cheap. I've always loved the AWD 1G's and 2G's but have always disliked the 2WD versions. I'd rather have something I could flog about on a back road more than an understeering, torquesteering, FWD car that's good for nothing but 1/4 mile runs. Not that I can do any canyon carving here in CT, but the weather is always changing and I'd love to hang with my EVO/STi friends during the rain and snow. Sucks having a naturally aspirated FWD... TLC...awesome looking GSX!!! Clean as hell and nice find!
Picolini
The best thing about an older, cheap car is you don't feel as bad when you bang on it. I would take it MUCH easier on a 2004 350z than I would on a 1990 GSX. Parts are plenty cheaper, that's for sure.
MoWGLi
I have almost finished my 4G63 build. I am currently paintintg it and hope to drop it in in the next few weeks. I am dropping it in an 89' Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo hatch. Looking at 400-450whp on my sh*tty Garrett TA-34. Stock top end, forged bottom end. And all the supporting mods. tuff_luv_capo
I know I posted this in the member pictures topic, but I'm curious as to the OP's hunt for a dsm, and I thought I'd liven it up in here: Just for fun.
lurchseesu420
Sounds about like my bug at low rpm. Just a little quieter.
bananabis
Nice!! Clean as hell and like you mentioned before, even with a few bolt on's (MBC/exhaust, UICP <- although the 1G stocker is probably alot more substantial than the goofy thinned 2G), you can give many a run for their money As for my case, I'm still in the hunt for either a 2G Talon TSi (1998) or a relatively stock 1G to just fool around on, in addition to keeping my daily driver for commuting to college. A 1999 GSX is basically the newest/last DSM ever produced and the prices I'm seeing are in the $9-12K range. If I could find a 1G AWD < $3/3.5K, I'd be happy. Just something to fool around with Awesome 1G TLC, keep us posted with your latest "project".
