Free Mode is the best, I wish you could increase ranking off that. @GTABates: It is too hard for me to explain, I am trying to say once you finish the GTA IV storyline, increasing your ranking is more fun that randomly roaming around on your own killing peds. I like ranking up but if I really truly cared that much, I'd have stayed sharing my roomies account since we made level 8. I just wanted to see where I was at myself and I ranked up to 4 in something like 38 games (not too shabby, not too great). R* are retards, lol Are you talking about the social club stats or the multiplayer rank (the star nxt to your name)? Coz if you're talking about the social club stats changing, they are based upon average. So if someone else does good they might move up, making you move down. Hence why they change so often. Spuds725 Posted July 21, 2008 Share Posted July 21, 2008 I just made level 5 yesterday-- about 3/4 of it is from GTA racing-- some Hang man's noose added in (too easy to raise your rank with that-- $4500-$5000 every 5 minutes), some death match (I can do ok but suck against some of the high rankers)... but mostly racing... Level 5-- with a wife, 3 kids and a more then full time job..... easy when you forego sleep to play -- you will see me on late at night mostly-- PSN id is the same as my username... if anyone in a good GTA race, shoot me an invite... love them when you get up over 10 drivers. Got to 41 in DM Overall on the boards b4 I let my teenage son and his friends play on my account and lost 6 spots. Tried for a week to get them back and still lost another spot so....I dont much care about that anymore either. Im trying to improve my racing skills now ( http://gtaraceleague.wordpress.com/ - still looking for new members) and trying to improve my AA off in preperation for the new COD or new MGS. Or maybe I'll play Warhawk...I bought it and have yet to play it. GTA IV is turning my brain to mush... BUT I STILL CANT STOP PLAYING!!! GTA stands for Grand Theft Addiction! It's my favorite mode, it's so random especially with blips off. Everyone heads to the same spot and some awesome gun battles happen. The only downside is I get a lot of randoms that quit when things don't go their way. Especially when I'm on my game and play well. I've lost several games (including a couple this past week) that were not even close, but generally I do pretty well. I always thought it would be great to have other human players vying to do the missions, that's how Mafiya Work is (only without a storyline). Most of the people who are rank 8,9, and 10 have done nothing but btb2 and noose, its an easy way to rank up seeing as you can play against the stupid cpu AI and you get auto aim. About 2-3 hours per night on average. Went from level 0 to level 5 strictly on deathmatches. From 5-7, it was about a 70/30 mix of deathmatches (70%) and HN. From 7-8, it was about a 70-30 mix in the other direction. About 10 games total of TDM and BDB2. I win about 75% of my deathmatches. Overall, I've got about a 3:2 kill:death ratio.
