Raindancer
About half way through my working day, CTRL C / CTRL V refuses to work. I use about 10 different apps at work and am always copying and pasting between them, about half way through the day some of the apps refuse to paste what I have copied. I have shut down and restarted the apps, but that makes no difference. It only starts to work again if I shut down and restart the PC (which is a pain in the arse) I imagine that the clipboard is becoming full and this is why I cannot copy'n'paste after a while. How do i delete the entries?
fox09
I think I had the same problem a while ago. It actually turned out to be some adware, from what I remember. Maybe you should do some scans of your computer, if you haven't already done that.
Slamman
The clipboard only maintains one thing at a time, although some apps are in this area, I never used them. I also use the traditional right mouse button all the time, does that work too? Hit the context window button on your keyboard, that will prompt it open as well. Mainland Marauder
The clipboard only maintains one thing at a time... Indeed, your clipboard basically "resets" with every cut/copy command. Ex. If I highlight this: "Hey RD" and do CTRL+C, or use the Copy command - anything before it is out of the clipboard memory and I should expect to see the following: Hey RD ...with nothing else before it. My guess is some sort of malware, unless your keyboard's just going out for some reason. Sometimes I do hit CTRL+V and see something pasted when I thought I did hit CTRL+C for copy. It happens. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
