Girish
Have you purchased the game or downloaded it? Try updating your video and audio drivers.
CCPD
Did you purchase the game in the shop or downloaded it from the Internet? Did you put any mods in the game? Are you using No-CD crack? Try updating your video drivers.
gtamodder
Disable the UAC, And run the game in XP Compatibility mode. I have had a similar problem myself and running in XP Compatibility fixed it for me. Since it should work because then it thinks you are running the game in XP. Girish
You mean to say that you have installed the v1.01 patch? If that's so, try reinstalling the game. I don't think the patch is necessary unless you want to block hot coffee or are having issues with the gameplay.
CCPD
After uninstalling the game you need to delete GTA San Andreas folder located in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games. Only then install the clean copy of the game.

Girish
Since you have Vista, you need to do the following: 1) Uninstall San Andreas2) Delete GTA San Andreas folder (will be located at, C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas) 3) Delete gta_sa.set (In Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files 4) Go to: C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games 5) And in there delete the San Andreas folder in there 6) Install SA 7) Try running the game now. If there is no AppData folder, change your file and folder options to "Show hidden files and folders"

gtamodder
If it is not there, then just install, if you are reinstalling. You just usually have to check it is there, if it is not there then it is fine, if it is there, then you usually delete it. This is how it works (I think) BTW, I have had this on my friends laptop, as well as my Media and Gaming PC, I wonder if it has something to do with Vista as I have XP on my media and Games and it doesn't do it in XP there, but it does in Vista. Try Win2000 Compatibilty instead.
