I honestly expected the setting of IV (back in 2004 following SA's release) to be of something in London or the U.K., and I was wondering if perhaps Rockstar may have *tried* or *looked into* doing something along these lines in Europe but wasn't able to; my question is, would it be even possible to have a setting in Europe even in today's soceity, where terrorist threats abound and all that sort of thing?

 

Obviously there are many elements present in IV, SA, and the rest of the collection that are inspired by real-life buildings and places of interest, but of course have a ficticious namesake. I was just wondering, sure it's been discussed/projected before...

 

I'd also like to see Rockstar's take on something along the lines of maybe starting the game in Bogota or Columbia, just a drug-fueled environment in another continent, and maybe the main character has to try and work their way into the United States through drug cartel or something along those lines.

 

I'm just thinking it would be great to see something just not "American-ized", just breaking away from the norm of settings for games.

I thought of something like this, I thought it could actually be 2 cities that aren't close to each other and you just ride the train and mess around in the interior of it until you get to the other city, or just skip the ride.
