My disc has a hairline crack in it and won't install, it just gets stuck at "installing game data" Anyone know how I can manually put the files on my computer? I don't care how much work it takes, I just need the game installed. Before you start asking what kind of computer I have, it's not that, I've installed this game like 10 times on the computer with no problems. grahamsubaru Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 I don't think there is a way as the game data is stored in a file that only the disc can open, I might be talking rubbish but that's what I think. If you can't get it to work then you can easily buy a new disc and they're really cheap nowadays. (£5-£100) You could also try using one of those DVD repair kits but I don't know How good they are.
