Two Faced Tanner
I have done all the tests in bike school to gold, but there is a problem: by school i can find only freeway and NRG-500 - between them should be the third bike: FCR-900, but it isn't there. First I thought that it is a temporary error and bike will "appear" there later, but I was wrong - i'm playing many hours and bike is still 'missing'. Can anybody help me? artoorew
Hm, for me it's opositive - I have the FCR, but neither Freeway nor NRG:) try driving around the block few times.
greebo-man
I think the game has trouble spawning 3 vehicles in such close proximity. Because the FCR-900 is in the middle of the 3 bikes, it gets wiped so the other two can stay.

Right. Your best bet would be to grab either the Freeway or the NRG-500 and circle the block until the FCR-900 spawns.

Girish
thank you very much - but is it possible to fix this bug, to have all the bikes in line? That would require some savefile editing. OrionSR
If you want to try editing you save file I can copy some tweaked coords out of the chain game save. We spread them out a little so they don't conflict with each other and all three spawn without trouble. Do you have access to a hex editor? Two Faced Tanner
I downloaded hex editor from internet (Hex Editor Neo v. 4.51) and I was trying to find those lines in file: GTASAsf5.b, but I couldn't. I used program option "find" to do it and I got information that program "can't find this pattern". What could be wrong?

OrionSR
Most hex editors have an option to search for text within the document, or hex codes. In this case you need to find the option to search for hex codes. If you figure it how, here's a link to a checksum fix tool. Just drop the edited save on the application and it will patch the save and make a backup of the original. <Checksum Fix>

I have tried approaching from different directions as well as taking either NRG or the Freeway from there and circling the block and coming back. I have also tried other methods given on the net. But no matter how many times I try only the NRG 500 and Freeway spawn at the bike school. Is there any way you can help me with it, please? I know it's been more than a decade since this thread was active but I couldn't find any other thread about the problem which provided a solution I haven't already tried. I am a new user so sorry if it's against the rules. On 7/18/2008 at 11:53 PM, OrionSR said: Edited September 16, 2020 by Yokaren
OrionSR
Let's see if I can clean up my old notes quoted above... I would expect this to work on mobile same as PC. The idea is to use a hex editor like HxD to modify the coordinates enough that the NRG and Freeway don't block the FCR. The tricky part about this fix, beside figuring out how to search and replace in a hex editor if you've never done it before, is fixing the checksum after making the edits. HxD can give you the required information, but it's a lot easier to simply upload and then download the save from GTASnP.com. FCR-900 Search for : B7 24 B3 2A 51 00 C8 Replace with: B7 24 C3 2A 51 00 C8 NRG-500 Search for : B3 24 C2 2A 51 00 C9 Replace with: B3 24 E0 2A 51 00 C9 If you have Cleo for Android it wouldn't be too tough to write a script that permanently hides the original FCR and replace it with another in a spot that avoids spawn blocking issues. Can the Hazard editor modify spawn locations of car generators? It's the only user friendly tool that works with mobile but I'm not sure of it's functions. The SA Save File Companion topic has a link to a binary template that can parse the data in almost any SA save file format, including mobile. The template makes the hex editing process a lot easier but requires the 010 Editor, a powerful and proprietary tool that, fortunately, has a decent trial period. As far as in game strategies, I didn't have much more luck that you did. The only things that sometimes worked was 1) approaching directly from the east, which pretty much requires a jetpack due to the large fence at the airport, 2) pushing the spawned NRG little north and Freeway a little south so those vehicles block their cargens but still leaves a bit of room for FCR, and 3) take the NRG, race north a short distance and try to return before the NRG can spawn again - about 10 seconds. None of these strategies are the least bit reliable. A far quicker strategy to get an FCR is to visit the Emerald Isle multi-story garage at the north end of The Strip. Jump over the wall on the 4th floor and onto the roof. Strafe towards and away from the garage and watch as the vehicles spawn and vanish as CJ moves in and out of the script radius. An FCR will spawn eventually, far sooner than messing with a blocked cargen at the bike school. When an FCR does spawn it is likely to spawn with several others. Jump on one and then take another to impound the recent vehicle to the impound garage under the LVPD for easy retrieval later.

OrionSR
13 minutes ago, Yokaren said: I don't understand this part. What is the purpose of uploading and downloading the save file? SnP will fix the checksum in the process. It's a lot easier than figuring it out with other tools. 14 minutes ago, Yokaren said: I was able to edit using an Android hex editor app, but I don't know how to fix the checksum. Can you tell me how? Well... HxD has the correct algorithm under Analysis > Checksums > Checksum-32. And 010 has the same thing listed as CRC-32 under Tools > Check Sum. Both programs have checksums with similar descriptions to the other but they won't necessarily work right for GTA. If your tool has checksum analysis then you'd need to experiment with an unmodified save to make sure you have found the algorithm that produces the same results as the game. Run the analysis on all but the last 4 bytes of the file. Alternatively, set the last 4 bytes to 00 00 00 00 and run the analysis on the entire file. The results needs to be encoded in those last 4 bytes using little endian format - the bytes are reversed. So if the results were 12345678 hex then encode the value as 78 56 34 12. Unless you plan to do a lot of save editing, fixing the checksum with SnP is definitely the easier option. Note that SnP will try to fix and prevent common glitches like the basketball glitch. If you don't want Madd Dogg's save disk moved a little farther inside the mansion so it's safe to save there without glitching away the basketballs then you might want to review SnP's Modifications tool to see what's getting fixed. Yokaren
I uploaded and downloaded the save from GTASnP and it worked perfectly! Now the FCR appears roughly where the NRG used to and the NRG appears slightly to the North. Will this edit or fixing the basketball and gym glitches affect the the game in any way? I want to make sure these won't cause any other glitch to occur Thanks a ton for all your help!
OrionSR
Well done. Congrats! No issues are associated with the SnP repairs. Most of the fixes have been in place for many years and are very well tested. The only people that might be disappointed with the change are purists that would prefer to keep their saves unmodified, but even then I am unaware of any complaints. coolzplayz
coolzplayz
Thanks @OrionSR I know this forum is very old i dont know if you are seeing this but i was having the same problem and wanted to spawn all three bikes at the same place. I have never used a hex editor but i followed your instructions given in this forum and was able to pull it off now all the three bikes spawn at the same place.
