Im stuck on Lurk Of The Irish, where you are shooting people from a roof top with a sniper.. I get them shot, then it says Packie is in trouble go help him (or something similar to that), and i dont no if there are other people coming that i have to shoot because if i jump off the roof to go done there i die but if i go down the steps its too late?? thanks alot guys, FordRules Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
saintdave Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 As you shoot the enemies down the alley one of them gets to the front (nearest to your position) and starts tussling with Packie, you need to shoot/kill him with the sniper rifle or he kills Packie. saintdave Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Well technically it is the next mission you will get from Elizabeta after completing Luck of the Irish but it depends on what other characters have mission icons on your radar that you must complete. Use the sniper rifle to shoot the guys like you normally do. There are at least nine or ten of them, and some of them will need to be shot more than once (yes, you will be astounded to see that in GTA IV, shooting an enemy with 5,000 rounds of bullets, grenades, and everything else including the kitchen sink does not kill him, as I learned with the The Snow Storm mission) There will be a message that says something about Packie is in trouble, shoot the guy who's roughing Packie up. Now, this is where you're going to have to cheat: The last guy will get into a van. The sniper rifle will not work here. Use the rocket launcher and fire directly at the van. Slamman Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 I tried every traditional manner like you did and then was advised to keep an eye out to the left near the garbage bins that Packie takes cover at, a big burly guy attacks him mid-fight, so you have time to get about three men killed before locating Packie. After that, one guy needs to be taken out from the cab of a truck in back, also done via the scope. Never leave your position or he does die and the mission fails. That's the key. In most Packie missions, you gotta keep him safe first and foremost. That's the key to most ones where he is fighting up close with the bad guys. When you steal the med truck, there's no real worries about him. Take your time getting each guy from up high before jumping down. This is the best forum you're gonna find! Enjoy your stay!
