the all seeing eye
i think what IV is missing, is really really hard missions. i mean... there where sum medium dificulty eg. forur leaf clover, and the final missions. but apart from that they where all waaaay to easey maybe im wrong
GTAaddictforever
no you arent wrong all of the missions are really easy they are all repetitive and uninspired they are mostly boring none of them are epic. the only really good mission is 3-leaf clover
ledzepp18
Yea most of them are pretty easy. I found snow storm hard though.
DudeWeresMyHog
Snow storm took the piss for me to complete, and then Revengers Tragedy i think it is were i had to chase the helicopter in a boat, that was impossible for me. I had to restart and choose the different route.

Dillinger8
True. This being the introduction for a new era of GTA, I figured that they kept the difficulty from being too insane for sake of the user. Then again, GTA isn't known for the insanely hard story missions, it was the inane side stuff that got me.
xNamexTakenx
Yeah, I agree with you. The missions in IV weren't too hard. The games in the III canon were way harder. But, I still like IV. There were some missions that I had difficulty with. But, some missions in the older games just pissed me off! One thing that I'm happy with is that R* took away planes. I know it was because of 9/11 and all. But, I hated flying planes in SA. Even flying helicopters in IV were a little difficult. At least they were left out a bit, too. There were only a couple missions where we used a chopper.
GTA3Freak-2001
I think what the issue here is that with the reomoval of the old and crappy GTA combat gameplay and replacement with a proper take cover mode as well as a more fluid targeting system is why it feels too easy. Look at any past GTA and any trouble with missions came about because you couldn't take cover, or the AI was shooting through a wall or some other thing related to the negative aspects of the games. GTA_dog
I think IV is easy! I was playing LCS, I am stuck on the mission where I have to save Salvatore from these people. You know the mission where you have to pick his limo up first. Too hard for me. Don't even get me started with Vice City and III.
Mr. Mcreary
I donno, I rather liked them.
Snake Without a Tongue
The only times missions are difficult in GTA is when they're unfair and no fun. Cops not chasing the other guy, indestructable car, unclear instructions, rushed by time limit, etc. But I agree, GTAIV was too easy and there was little variety between missions. "or the AI was shooting through a wall or some other thing related to the negative aspects of the games." In the mission Trespass somebody keeps shooting me out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure they're shooting through a wall, because no matter where I crouch bullets fly right through and hit me. But that's the only time it happened. GiveMeLiberty78
"Snow Storm" was a friggin' mission and a half! Seemed that the best way to complete it was to just run out when the NOOSE people showed up, shoot the two officers at the entrance/exit to the old hospital and then leg it to the Jetmax. Took a few attempts though I'll admit.
markiij
I loved three leaf clover, still think it was the best mission. What I think is that is kinda the same as with GTAIII. The game has a huge new engine and they simply can't use it too the mas yet. With Vice the problem was gone and so I liked those missions much more but maybe that's just me:P. e2thejdot
I loved three leaf clover, still think it was the best mission. I gotta disagree with that. Overall it seemed a little too unrealistic, too Rainbow Six-ish and.. am I the only one who thinks it wasn't COMPLETELY creative considering I just did the same thing with Carl Johnson and a casino? Overall I thought the best missions were the ones where Niko interacted with his environment. Like the kidnapping mission where she turned the wheel and the car turned with it.. or when Manny died and if you hit something the trunk opened up. Those just seemed impressive and unique to me. Too bad it was like 3 missions out of 90. lol I don't use spoiler tags, by the way. So don't ambush me with "thanks for the spoiler!" comments. Don't come to a forum about the game if you don't wanna hear people talk about the game.
markiij
It was unrealistic, like heat But I don't care. I enjoyed it so much to run from alley to alley while shooting the crap out of the cops with my ak. That's, at least for me, the real GTA experience. Those missions like the kidnaping were cool to play one or two times but I want sick action too !
gtamodder
Yup I agree, I found about 98% of the missions in GTA4, pretty easy. I found the missions in the other GTA Games much harder.
tarquin biscuitbarrel
the problem is that most of the missions have a REALLY easy way to finish, for example spamming grenades or rocket launcher. you can make these missions more challenging and enjoyable by refusing to use cheap easy-mode tactics like this. just drive head-on into the action and take cover behind your vehicle. Gunde
The difficulty was just fine. If they change anything it should be adding 'easy' and 'hard' options. Not everyone's equally good. I for one only play a couple of times each week so I definitely don't need it to be harder
