Ned fisch Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I need a little help, i'll tell you a bit about me then i'll get to the point. My name is Ned, i'm 13, I live in australia, I love motocross, reptiles, motor racing, surfing. Thats all I have for the moment. Now, I am now onto the 3rd island and i'm stuck on the "Learning to fly" mission, the course where you have to circle the airstrip is the one that is the probley. The plane just doesn't get to the red circle, I try and try again, just doesn't work, when I try to get the plane to the right hight, it keeps cutting out like it needs a breather, then in starts droping, so I have to turn around and try go through it, but it takes me 2 goes to get through, but then the time runs out. It's #2 on the keyboard - default, it's also called the 'mission special' key. I'll raise the landing gear, try that out. I forget to mention that it's ps2, but I get what you mean. decayer Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 I have lots of trouble with this too! I feel very disadvantaged with only a keyboard (PC) instead of a joypad to make things easier. For the cutting out thing, I think I understand what you mean. When you hold down for too long and the nose of your plane is at too steep of an angle the engine will start failing (I think). I've gotten past that now, its just the barrel roll with the stunt plane, they tell you to hold the anolog stick to the left but is doesn't go throught the second conora, it just spirels to the ground. JAJ Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 Be sure to keep the power on & you may have better luck if you use the first-person view (from in front of the plane), that's how I do it. Ned fisch Posted July 18, 2008 Author Share Posted July 18, 2008 I'm nearly finished, I just have to get through the "End of the line mission", I can get through all floors and kill Smoke but then when I have to chase Frank I get pretty far but in the end I get blown up. I just have to try finish thart, I guess it comes down to luck. Then I can kill all the Balla's and that so I don't have to go through them starting wars everytimes 10 seconds, I just smash em Then I gotta finish of Woozies mission in the Casino with the blue prints and stuff. lil weasel Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 Take any Firetruck or Ambulance as you find them. Kill somebody or start a fire if you have to. Avoid running down cops or hitting them they can get in the way at critical times. You Cannot leave the vehicle once you start the mission. so be sure that CJ is well fed before you start. A few tips: Knock the doors off the Ambulance (rear and passenger side) it will make it quicker for the victim to enter. Drive off as soon as the Victim starts to get in. Take chances while driving until you reach level 6, then take a little more care when driving. Try it during the evening hours, less traffic. Watch the radar for your next target.
