Me and my friend scanlon24 have an idea for gta iv. they should add bicycles for online and campaign and allow them for everything, even races ( we are Martz16 and ScAnLoN24 )

Yea that would be pretty cool for GTA IV

Bicycles are a common form of transportation, I don't see why they would have bicycles in GTA San Andreas, and not in GTA IV.

Not only for races, but for fun. I would just like to see something different than motorized vehicles, it would attract more players.

Hopefully this has put a better understanding in your mind.

lol I agree with you guys 100%. R* should've put bicycles in IV. I was angry when they took some stuff from SA out of IV. It always made me laugh seeing people ride bikes in SA for some reason. It was so fun killing the peds and stealing their bikes. The way CJ rode the bike very fast was hilarious! Too bad they didn't bring it back for IV. sad.gif

Amen to that. GTA IV for the Xbox 360 will be getting updates, maybe if we get enough replies and agreements, it might happen.

I seem to recall them (Rockstar) saying pre GTA 4 launch that they felt having bicycles in didn’t really fit in with what they had planned and didn’t seem realistic in a busy city environment based on NY. As many know bikes are used there but maybe not to the level where Rockstar felt they should include them.

I cant see them being in DLC either because a new animation would also need to be made for Niko getting on, getting off, stopping, etc.

It also is unrealistic so see that many Lamborghini's, Muscle Cars, and many more other vehicles, yet they still added those.

I can think of many things i want added above Bicycles! dozingoff.gif

I'd still want a skateboard lol. I know, it'd probably seem like too much of a Tony Hawk game.

Why race bicycles? When you can race ones with engines wow.gif

ya, i prefer a dlc of some new hidden good model cars like the sultan rs...MORE MOTERBIKESSSSSSS

Maybe they didn't work when trying to code them, maybe some sort of Euphoria glitch happened and rendered bikes useless. tounge.gif

i like the skateboard idea, i just don't see how rockstar games would have the paitence to program all of the tricks and would have to make the world skate based. might as well put guns in the next tony hawk game and call it tony hawk liberty city.

... it would attract more players.

Proof please. Number of people who have specifically stayed away from GTA 4 because of lack of bicycles but would rush out and buy it if they were included.

For what it's worth, they were kinda cool in SA but I wouldn't care if they were never ever ever added to GTA4. Same goes for fingerless gloves, rat people etc etc

Yeah that would be so difficult for R* to do, wouldn't it..

R* wanted realism so they should still have considered bicycles. Or at least replaced it with segways tounge.gif

Or it could be like Bully. During playing that game, I used the skateboard all the time. Bully was another R* game, so it doesn't necessarily have to be like a Tony Hawk game. But, I can't imagine Niko riding a skateboard. Usually teens skate. A grown man skateboarding who be pretty stupid. Its even hard to imagine Niko riding a bike, too lol. It made more sense in SA, though.

gta 4 gamer

to be honest, there are other things R* took out of IV which was at San andreas, bikes, buying houses, muscle gaining, fat gaining, sex appeal, tanks....I cant think of more at the moment.... But i bet IV would've been soo much better if they added that stuff..

I agree that bikes should be added. However, they shouldn't "freak out" peds unless you run over them. As an example, whenever I take my golf-cart(air tug) to Central Park because freak out when they are 10 feet away on a trail and I'm just cruising on the grass. A bike could solve the problem of being able to ride on a sidewalk or by peds without them swearing at you.

Ha ha, he might break his hip trying get off the damn thing! lol.gif

It would have been nice to have bicycles - better way to explore the city.

i wannnnna unicycle, that would be bananas with the tilty wobbly controller thingy

hey, how about next character is a midget, a midget on a unicycle in gta

midgets make good pets anyway, they fetch things like the paper better than dogs, don't stink up the house and when you go out you can hook them up on a coat hook so they stay put.

best not leave them alone to roam around the house, they only draw on the walls with your lipstick and hump the soft toys

bonus they can speak english too

Its Grand Theft Auto. Bicycles aren't autos. I really didn't care for them in SA. I used them as a last resort transportation, much like I consider them to be in reality. To me, they didn't really add realism to SA. All they did was hold up traffic. So I could care less if they're in the game or not. I'm just going to drive cars anyway.

i am glad most of you support the idea of bikes in IV. i think that they should specifically add bmx, mountain and mopeds so you can switch off. and do more unique stunt jumps.

bicycles make the game more realistic, because no matter where you live, you see kids and adults on bikes. and they do annoy you while you drive. that's realistic cause i ride bikes and i do that stuff. and got cursed out and beeped at several times, thats life and they say its not realistic, that is a lie because i see it with my own eyes. adding those elements in the game with the bikes just makes it more fun.
