Stephan90
1. Why do Cesars gang members attack you? I mean they got help from me in the missions... 2. In a solutionbook I saw a screenshot (area around zeros shop) on the radar there was dark blue gang color. I think that's Rifa turf. But in my game there is no dark blue color on the radar. Is it possible to start a gangwar with the Rifas or other gangs like Triads or Varrios Los Aztecas?

Doomed_Space_Marine
1. Because their acquaintance to pedtype 0 (player) is set to 4 (hate) If you play on PC, you can use my mod (somewhere in mod showroom in mission mods) that makes them friendly (triads too). 2. No. Only enemy gangs in Los Santos.

Taste Of Chaos
@GTABlaze: Thats not strictly true. If you fly far enough out, then crash and drown yourself, as the gang territories change size on the map as the map gets smaller, t forgets to reset the territory sizes giving you the same gang territories, just about 1x the size and spanning all over SA. I think thats how it works. Opportunity knocks once in a lifetime, temptation will lean on the doorbell.

But the glitch is kinda difficult to activate on PC.

Well, the Official Strategy Guide was made during the game developpement, so R* removed a bunch of stuff and added some stuff too. So the version of the Strategy Guide is the beta one. Stephan90
I thought the difference exists because the sreenshots were from a different version (US or UK). But the explanation with the beta version sounds logical. Edited July 17, 2008 by Stephan123

Mainland Marauder
Here is the topic on extra gang territories and how to trigger them. This seems to be done easiest on the original PS2 version. It isn't clear why Cesar's gang (Varrios Los Aztecas) attacks CJ throughout the game, although gang loyalties in freeroam don't always seem to match up with the storyline. Just like the Aztecas will attack you even after you take their turf back from the Vagos in "Los Desperados", the rival Family sets are always recruitable and not hostile to CJ except in a mission like "Sweet's Girl." Similarly, the Triads in San Fierro will attack CJ despite his ties to Woozie, but only if CJ affirmatively declares his affiliation to Grove Street (using the positive-negative reaction function). Be careful, because some of them carry AKs. The Aztecas are feuding with Grove Street early on (this is mentioned by Sweet in the first mission cutscenes) but grow closer as Cesar wins the respect of Sweet. Throughout the game, Aztecas are counted as enemy gang members in the stats. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." grahamsubaru
And during that mission where you have to dance with hydraulics (is it called High Stakes - Lowrider?) That guy at the the end doesn't like you and caesar stops him from trying to kill you.

epoxi
I've only ever been attacked by Yakuza and Cesar's gang when I've fired at them, or had Grove Street members in the car.
Mainland Marauder
I've only ever been attacked by Yakuza and Cesar's gang when I've fired at them, or had Grove Street members in the car. I'm guessing you mean the Triads rather than Yakuza. They indeed will not attack unless you fire on them, you have GSF members in your posse (because they will attack any non-Family gang members) or you answer them positively (although they seem to ask of your gang affiliations silently ) But Cesar's gang....playing around on my 100% save here I went to El Corona and walked up to some VLAs (Cesar's homies). They asked "where you from, puto" or something like that and I answered negatively. They still followed me around and went to start punching me, but I pulled out my Deagle and they ran. But I came across another with a Micro-Uzi, I replied negatively and he still shot at me. They do seem a lot less aggressive toward CJ than Ballas or Vagos, but more aggressive than the San Fierro gangs who basically will only attack you if provoked (including CJ's confirming his gang status). Struff Bunstridge
No, that mod only makes the game more realistic because real friends don't attack each other in reality So you're changing the game's programming to stop a group of peds shooting at you, and you don't think it's cheating. Cool.
lloydo
It's quite cool when the Ballas, Vago's and San Fierro Rifa ally together.

This mod makes gameplay match with storyline. It fixes something that we can say "bug" about because it's not normal when you help VLA to get their territory back and they still attack you.
