mrMISDEMEANOR
I have everything plugged/powered correctly, however my speakers refuse to work. They used to in the past, but now I have no sound. I have my drivers installed for my audio card, and can listen to music and sounds on my headphones just fine. In audio devices, it only has my headphones and my audio card, doesn't recognize my speakers. Any suggestions?

Superfly.
These are external speakers? Assuming you're plugging them into the same slot as you are your headphones, they should work without any need for drivers. If possible, plug them into a different machine? If they still don't work, they might've just bit the dust.

Superfly.
Windows XP, altho my headphones are USB not actual headphone jack Do you have a set of headphones (cheap will work) that you can plug into the headphone jack to test? If that doesn't work, maybe try changing the audio drivers to a newer or older set?
Deuce Deuce
Given that you're using a set of USB headphones, I assume they are acting as an external sound device? As you say, the headphones come up as a seperate device which wouldn't happen normally had you been using them plugged directly into the audio card. It could be hardware related issues, as in your audio card. Just because it's showing up as a device in the sound control, it doesn't necessarily mean to say it's in proper function. If I were you, (before anything) I'd test a standard pair of speakers to rule out the possibility of a borked audio card.
