buyable properties

Hello all,

 

How can i make new properties in a cleo script?

So that i can buy new houses and so on, how do i make that?

And how do i make an interior attached to it?

You can use the original game code to make your own properties. Look at the thread "BUYPRO" and its mission. Interiors are controlled by the IPL.

I made a script, i think there is a small mistake in it. The compiler compiled it normally(that did wonder me), and the game loaded normal but when you should spawn the game crashes, i dunno why.

 

here is the script:

I removed the 004F, but it still crashes at the same point.

You can but it's not wise to do so,and that opcode can delete a CLEO Mission,do not use it anywhere other than main.scm

 

Also why globals ? Where are your checks you ant got any umm you got jump_if_flase but then is would do it before pickup so that is wrong aswell.

I Don' think you quite get it,its hard to explain for newbies but enex ipl will not help with this one,so use opcode 0A40: the marker is non funktion but use fade opcode when near it then while fading link CJ to the interior,do not edit this script unti you get it copying R* code like you did will not help you.

The scripts above are way too hard to understand for me, the script i use now is better to understand for me. I just grabbed it out of the .scm file and changed it a little bit.

^You're right, your code is much better. But I don't seem to find any errors in that code. Is it working for you now? Try replacing the global variables for the pickup and the price with a local variable. It could be conflicting with the game's script.

Correct ,Seemann said somthing about this before correct me if im worng, plus the checks are wrong.

 

AND worse of all is your script is tyring to active when the game loading intro first starts

Your missing an if state meant before mission 0,

 

 

Pickup.Picked_up($MyPickUp)

jf @PROPERTY_2

 

This will not work.

 

poor pickup geting destroy already

 

 

Pickup.Destroy($MyPickUp)

 

 

Second you should test your script I did after I writed mine.

if you think something is wrong please point the mistake out so i can see it and so i know how to change it, variables and other terms still sound a bit strange to me so if you can point the mistake out of the script and tell me what to change, by that way i learn it better.

Your messing the game up with your scripts.

 

The script _VaNkAtA_ writed is simply not long enough and all checks are wrong your script is loading WHEN GAME FIRST STARTS the intro is not like the others the script should be active AFTER.

 

And your check for buying is completey wrong so its' jump there right away before the pickup is picked up.

 

Why not just use mine ? otherwise you never learn things,this problam & topic is not as hard as you think it's actaully easy.

cool, your script works.

But there are some small problems

1. the music keeps playing

2. above the marker stands 16860 not the 1000000 that should stand above it.

Now i want to know how i add an save icon and asset to the property.

1:The music can not keep playing because it's time limit is hard coded by R*

 

2:Maybe because there is no such limit as 100000.

 

3:I should post a save pickup for you as long as you do not play with gosubs

Thanks for the script, i also tried myself and it was going pretty good but the only problem was that when the save marker should come there came an marker to begin a mission

 

EDIT: I attached your save script to the script but the marker doesnt show up, i made one myself and it worked better as there came a marker, but the wrong one.

There is somthing really wrong with your game,you mean a sphere ?

 

There is nothing like that in that script so it's impossible,my guess is you having other script which was not written good in cleo folder

 

Seemann said no globals in no cleo scripts,and making stuff happen with you main scm this is what is making your problam not these scripts but somthing else in your cleo folder.

I said Do NOT EDIT IT as your NOT EXPERIENCE ENOUGH TO PLAY WITH GOSUBS AND YOU NEED MUCH MORE EXPERIENCE to edit scripts and use this kind on coding.

 

I remember you hade a spawning car problam, No ? your moving on too fast don't put them together use them in each diffrent script put them in folder keep looking at the script.

 

I do not most of time look at topics like this because they are easy,and I don't like posting scripts for begainers becuase they always edit them and make them go wrong.

 

 

delete all what you did form CLEO folder gets my scripts again put them separeat form each other you do not see R* puting two gether do you ? So why should we ?

 

 

Anyway try what I said hope it works!

I mean a red circle that is used to start missions.

 

 

P.S. i edited my previous post, the script i made is there. I think i allready know what the problem is.

 

EDIT: I changed it, what came up was an red circle due to that i created it i used a wrong line.

Now i changed it so that it would set an save marker but it wont compile. I made the line bald

Untested, should work. It seems easier to test in a stripped mission script instead of testing using CLEO. After you get it to work then convert it to CLEO. But if this is your way.

I have made my own, everything works except the save, how do i make the marker come and works? Now there comes an help sign. I also added an script that should destroy the marker and enables it to save but ti doesnt work.

I know i did something wrong but what? and why does there come an help pickup instead of an save pickup?

So,when you walk into it is everything ok ? does it show screen save ?

 

Your problam is you have to get object by there Id in CLEO not the name, if you get them like this in CLEO any object can appear.

The savescreen doesnt show up and instead of an savemarker i get an help marker.

I just looked a bit at the .scm file and i found this lines, some are made by myself.

Well,I did say if you mix two scripts up this will happen,are you tyring to join them if so for what ?

 

And when I say Id do you know what I mean ? in main scm #PICKUPSAVE in CLEO 1277:)

 

 

 

 

[Edit] I did it for you once you buy the place you can save there I tested it works good don't edit it(leave it how it is),because your not good enough to combine two scripts together....

it didnt work, when you should spawn the game says 'loading game, pease wait...' and then the game crashes.
