There is an escort side quest from Little Lamplight where you have to take one of the newly turned 16 lamplighters to Big Town. But you'll need Red to collect on that reward, so if she's already gone then I can't think of a reason.

 

There is an experience glitch you can exploit in Big Town though. If you follow all the dialog options through with Bittercup she'll reveal to you that she's dated all the men in Big Town. You can then go to Pappy, where there will be a speech craft dialogue option that won't disappear when you select it. If you are successful with it, you'll get 5 experience points every time and you can do this for as long as you want.

 

It might be the case though that it has to be done before you complete the rescue mission. I'm not sure on that.

Does the PS3 not get Operation Anchorage, The Pitt or Broken Steel DLC?

Not quite sure. I thought that they got all of the DLC as well.

It's never going to happen man. Bethesda and Microsoft have a contractual agreement which keeps the DLC exclusive to Windows Live and Xbox 360.

 

So when it comes to storing items and alls that, are the safe houses the only safe places to do it? Or could I set up a stash anywhere in the wastelands? Without it disappearing on me that is.

They'll get stolen, I found my Medical power armor on a raider after having lost it for ages...He was a bitch too kill.

I've left stuff in metal boxes in buildings and the odd Vualt and nothing has ever gone missing. Unless there's one I forgot about. I'll just be walking about and I'll get attacked by a Raider with a Fatman.

That might be the case, as I can't bring up that dialogue option from Bittercup. But I also haven't revived Timebomb, doesn't he initiate that conversation? I can't remember. Perhaps.

 

As for the Little Lamplight guy, I don't recall getting a reward from Red. And that was on my good playthrough. Maybe I didn't talk to her, I dunno. Maybe I did get something and just can't remember.

 

Not sure if I'd want to exploit that dialogue XP glitch anyway. That'll cheapen things even more for me. I'm already getting infinite supplies from Paradise Falls.

They either die instantly, or get completely stuck, due to you having to actually swim underwater to continue. You should have told him to wait outside as you went in.

 

 

Also enemies wont take your stuff, as long as its in something like a locker or desk or box. Though if its left laying around they do pick it up.

 

As the medic armor is laying on the ground not actually in anything.

 

 

If you find any enemy using something they shouldnt. Its because it was laying about close by.

 

Hence the fatman in the capitol building, usually on a table but a merc can often be lugging it around.

The Big Town glitch was patched a while ago, but there is another dialogue glitch in Little Lamplight which, afaik, hasn't been patched.

They either die instantly, or get completely stuck, due to you having to actually swim underwater to continue. You should have told him to wait outside as you went in.

I took Fawkes with me into those caves and i never had any problems with him dieing or getting stuck. Although he didn't actually swim with me he just sort of spawned behind me went i got to the other side of the underwater bit.

It was in a cabinet In a house in Andale that I use a house. I left some weapons and equipment in it, including the medic armor. It was all gone, I only realized because the rest of the items weren't anything special, only the power armor. So I probably have NPC's running around with some of my guns and armor.

 

@pap, no idea honestly, as I said, I just realized because that could only have been my medic armor.

 

It would honestly not surprise me that random NPC's could steal you're sh*t that isn't "safe". So many random things going on in this game anyway.

I started the "Those" quest last night, and have found the boy's dad dead and told him, now I'm trying to find the source of fire ants in the subway tunnels. Man, those things are hard to kill! For me, at least. Also, I have next to no bullets left. A few shotgun shells is all.

Yeah, I also took Fawkes with me for the whole Oasis quest and never had any problem with her.

No he is male, I thought Fawkes was female/asexual also.

 

 

By activating the Terminal by the door of Fawkes room in Vault 87, and using the 'Identify Specimen' function, you will find that the cell's inhabitant is called 'Specimen D164'. A different terminal in a room close to Fawkes' cell contains data on 5 specimen, stating that D164 was a female. However, it is unknown whether Fawkes actually is Specimen D164 or whether he (got) moved into the cell after the original inhabitant had died. In any case, Fawkes has been confirmed to be male by Bethesda.

I used Fawkes to help transport all of the loot I got out of Raven Rock. Doesnt really matter because at that point the game is over, but I just like to have the money on me. I bet I was one hell of a corpse to loot after the reactor thing.

 

Then I just kinda left him.

Fallout3 on PC has severe problems, all you need to do is update patches and problems fixed!

Played the game again today, Did the first chapter of the Survival guide and now I've only go to do the Mirelurks nest.

 

Also killed that Roy Phillips guy, wish I planted a grenade in his pocket though So a lot of you people set up base somewhere else other then the Megaton house? I might give that a try. I wouldn't mind stashing my junk in 'Luckys' near Tenpenny's Tower.

I never really got the point of setting up another base other than my megaton house. You can just fast travel right there.

There's a trader who spawns in there so it could be the case there be some thieving going on if you stick yer junk in there. Just stick your junk somewhere else Lochie. Anywhere will do for you.

Well Fawkes is I guess what you could consider a man of honour, he believes in destiny and didn't think his finished with Project Purity, instead he asks you to step up and finish what your father started.

it seems whenever i post in this thread it's because i have a problem. i fixed my gnr problem by downloading a... well... fix. and now the stealing independence quest is bugged. i want to use the console command getquestcompleted to complete it, but i don't know the code for the quest. anyone?

ps if you have the pc version i suggest looking for unofficial patches and fixes for common bugs. (like the option to get charon not showing up when talking to azrukhal).
