Thanks. I have a $20 PSN giftcard, so meh, I'll choose "wisely". If I do get Operation Anchorage, it's because of the weapons. I plan on buying two of the DLCs, though. I thinking of The Pitt and Operation Anchorage.

EDIT: I'm on the mission where you have to defend the mansion on Point Lookout, and for some reason, the enemies don't come thru the roof like they're suppost to, and I was wondering (PS3 version - Addon) if there was fix for this. Also, I can't seem to start a dialogue with Desmond, unless I knock him out.

- Bump

I just borrowed the dlc's for this off a friend, also got myself a cheap copy of it off play.com, cause I'd borrowed the game before, if I start playing with Broken Steel, will I be able to play the others after I've completed it?

Yeah you can play the DLC's in any order.

Unlike vanilla Fallout the game doesn't have a permanent ending when you've got Broken Steel.

Mods f*cked up my game, now I can't play anymore - I had everything, including ALL weapons and armor... should I kill myself?

No. And what version does you have? If you have PC or PS3 shouldn't you have backup saves?

Just reinstall if you're on PC man. No need to overreact! orly.gif

Probably had loads of mods and stuff, doesn't wanna re-install and have to make everything just right again, but wants to keep playing. tounge.gif

Haven't touched this in a long while. I'mma play a bit of vanilla again just before New Vegas hits, pretty much for comparison's sake.

I wish it was that easy, but I lost some save games, and the ones in backup already has mods... so, when I try to load a past save game, I can't use pip-boy, because I was using a pip-boy replacer mod. I had everything completed - everything. I think I'm going to use a very old save game, and do some DLCs again. Well, it's better than losing everything, isn't it? Besides, DLCs weapons are easy to get compared to vanilla fallout weapons.

Big bump I know, just finished the story and without realizing it I forgot to save before the last mission. So as you know I pretty much f*cked myself over, so I'm going to get the addons since I loved the game so much - just wondering since there's 5 should I play them in any order? I've heard that people tend to play Broken Steel first even though it was Anchorage that came out first? Basically just want to play whatevers meant to be next after the final mission so I don't have to start over with a new character.

You should get Broken Steel first because it allows you to carry on with your character and ups the level cap from 20 to 30. Then you can play any add-on you like next in any order as they don't really connect with each other story wise.

Yeah I'd start with broken steel for the reasons Seddo, those and it makes the ending less depressing.

Then after that play to other add ons in any order you like, actually I did anchorage before broken steel but that's because I have the GOTY edition of the game, but if your going to buy them separate, go with broken steel first.

Cool, I'll get Broken Steel first then since it lets me carry on with the game. I've basically done everything just before I have to decide who does what so it will carry on after I've made my decision?

I like going straight from Vault 101 on a new character and completing Operation Anchorage. If you exploit the Gary 23 glitch, it's fun to play the game all thew ay through with a crap load of .556 ammo, a Gauss Rifle, Jingwei's Shocksword and other sh*t.

Yeah, pretty messed up. My brother told me about it. It's brilliant.

Though, alot of fun gets taken away when you're loaded with ammo (like I am now). Hardcore mode in New Vegas sounds too damn awesome.

Yeah, it's not really the same.

Hell yeah. Should add major challenge, frustration, and feeling of accomplishment.

Ex-f*cking-actely! Why else would we be playing this game?

Ironsights, customisable weapons, crafting your own ammo... can't wait. Regular Fallout is so "bland" if you know what's waiting.

Hardcore mode is going to be bad ass. In FO3 I know what hides where for the most part, and I have so much ammo/weapons it's like I'm a one man army, get's a bit annoying, the only challenge I had in recent memory was killing al the slavers in paradise falls.

Had to get those kids out from little lamp light and I tried pick pocketing the key from that one guy and well he took it back so I killed him started a riot in the town so I had to go Rambo and kill evrey one there. This was before I went to point look out so I didn't have the plethora of stim packs (I have like 200 and my medcine skill is though the roof.) that can be found there. Though it was fun though, glad I had the T-51b Winterized power armor.

i am still going to finish FO:NV on the normal difficulty first. ill replay it again on hardcore once i am more farmilliar with the game. i did finish fallout 3 and all of its DLCs, however i do like the style the game is built on.

as in... not eating for months and not starving or caying rediculous ammounts of ammo.

Uhh yeah, Fallout 3 has a hardcore mode, it's called FWE and it's easily one of the greatest mods produced for a Bethesda game, period; right below the ever famous OOO.

Yeah consoles have that too.

Not my point jackass. Else I wouldn't have used the term "mod."
