Just wondering. I've just hit lvl20 on my basic fallout but I'm not even close to having completed the storyline, what happen's if I get Broken steel now?

Also, BS is the first DLC I should get right?

If you get BS now you'll have the raised level cap but you won't be able to play it until you fnish the original storyline. Since BS is a contiuation of that story.

Yeah I lost Dogmeat too sad.gif I had been playing for about 6 hours without saving so I couldn't really throw that all away just to keep him. I lost Charon later on that day too. I save all the time now now, silly not to.

She's/he/whatever dead on my second GFWL save, but I have a puppy perks, so when she's die, another dog will be my companion. lol.gif

Dogmeat ain't that good in battle though, she just good in finding items.

That's what I wanted to know, thank you. Does it automatically carry on when I finish the game or is it a different launch?

As a sidenote, what are the best DLC's?

I haven't actually played it myself, but when you finish the original storyline instead of dying you wake up 2 weeks later from a coma. So yeah its automatic.

Broken steel (for the level cap) > Point lookout > Anchorage > The Pitt.

In that order. IMO.

Btw unless dogmeat is confirmed dead, he will probably turn up at 101 one day with a prompt saying so. Which happened to me. But he is useless so dont worry about it. You only need him for the firelance really.

Also I want a confirmed date on this MZ sh*t.

No, still can`t find him. can anyone be a bit more specific, I can`t find the scrap yard?

Nah, scrapyard is northeast of megaton.

Its east-ish from the minefield and the violin bitches house.

He should be in the northeast corner of the scrapyard fighting gits.

Mothership Zeta will be the fifth and last Fallout 3 add-on, to be released on August 3, 2009 for the Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live. The PlayStation 3 version is to be released after Point Lookout.

Got him! Thanks.

I`m off to buy some MS points and get me some DLC packs. Download Broken Steel first, but play it last, The Pitt and Point Lookout to play first, and Anchorage to get at a later date. Sound OK?

Anchorage is essentially just a minigame, fallout gameplay turned into an oldschool shooter. The only real reason to buy it other than the experience, is the unlocks when finished, the glitched/stolen out non degrading weapons and clothing. And ammo exploits.

The Pitt is pretty boring I think, not many challenging enemies, so good to do at a lower level but you dont really get anything decent from it.

Broken steel and point lookout all the way, id say.

Also Cheers for the date, I knew it was roumoured to be that but i didnt know for sure. The gits said end of july and lied, it should have been out today.

At least I have next tuesday off. biggrin.gif

I told you last week it was going to be Aug 3rd.

II J0SePh X II - Don't forget that BS also gives you new enemies, weapons and clothes at around level 18 whether you have finished the story or not. Also, I thought The Pitt was good, Anchorage was so-so unless you count glitch exploits and Point Lookout was the best by far. It's huge.

I still think anchorage was really good, it just was lame the fact you couldnt replay it or go back etc. I think it was one of the more stylish ones, and it was fun as hell. Short, ish, but non stop action. Propper shooters DLC. Nothing respawns in the pitt despite being able to go back there. Which is a major flaw. And why Point lookout is so awesomely amazing. Respawning enemies, traders with 100 repair skill. Always awesome stuff to do.

I hope they go all out for then next sh*t im telling ye. I want my jaw to hit the floor. I demand boba fett to show up and shoot everyone and save the day.

Alright I'm trading in my PS3 Fallout, for the 360 version and I'll get whatever DLC has come out on disk, and the other two I'll buy via the XBL marketplace. biggrin.gif

I just bought the disc with the two DLCs (operation anchorage and the pitt)

I love the goodies you get when completing Anchorage.

The Pitt wasn't bad,its just not that rewarding. I liked the atmosphere though.

Next is Broken steel.

Yeah, wielding a pump shotty and driving a Ferrari Daytona.

Flies down to earth in a huey gunship and runs about in the wastland which is now a jungle and makes one leggers dance.

I now keep getting a crash every time I try and go in the ant hole in shalebridge where the respawning skillbook is.

Lame as hell. I may delete this save.

Well, I restarted Fallout 3 because I completely screwed up the first time (left Megaton at the beginning way too early) and now that I'm actually doing it "properly" I'm having a much better time. This game is awesome. I'm completely mesmerized by it.

How does this game compare to Mass Effect? I was thinking of trying that one someday.

Mass Effect is a lot more dialogue based. No where near as violent either.

Mass Effect, is as said very dialogue based. It also has karma like Fallout does, which is not only determined by your actions but also by what you say. It's got a good cover system and the weapons are pretty fun, but it's really different from Fallout.

Anyway, just got Fallout for the 360 (I have it on PS3), got all the DLC and started doing anchorage, only just got up to the camp, but so far it's fun and the winterised combat armour is f*cking sexy as hell. Loving it. Looking foward to playing the Pitt, Broken Steel and Point Lookout, and I hope to get Zeta when it comes out on Monday.

You can't really compare those 2. But quite frankly, I enjoyed Mass Effect more then 90% of games I have ever played. Fallout 3 included.

@ okei: I didn't play any DLC yet because I had freezing issues on PC so I uninstalled the game. Too bad cause it's a freakin awesome game. Addicting and immersive. I bought another copy today so I'm gonna try that one. The old one I sold. Hoping it goes well. No patch or custom fix helped last time.

Just had this extremelly weird bug on my PC Fallout and thought I'll share it, I finally decided to go to falls church on my Level 29 gunslinger guy, and I decided to go for the Zhu-Rong pistol, well, guess what, somehow ALL the robots inside LOB Enterprises were set as essential, console didnt help either, luckly there's nothing the Chinese Stealth armour along with a few Stealth Boys (for when I'd bump into them and get detected) cant solve, and I managed to get the pistol safely without too much trouble, altho it was pretty weird the fact there were only gutsies and sentry bots, no brainbots or protectrons, and it seems like essential bots cannot be deactivated via robotics expert

If you have Robotics Expert, you can sneak behind them and deactivate them for good biggrin.gif

I`ve got them all, but haven`t touched a single one. I`m just enjoying the game in a directionless kind of way, taking in all the awesomeness.

Just got The Kneecapper, even though sawed-off shotguns is useless but hey, I'm a collector. I pickpocket the man in Girdershade while he's sleeping. When done looting, he will wake up, so runaway from his house as fast as you can biggrin.gif

Mothership Zeta comes out Monday, guys.

It is going to be f*cking awesome, I just hope the ship is f*cking huge and there's some cool sidequests as well, going to have to get some more MS points ready.
