No one has heard of vibgyor because it isn't the correct acronym.

Roy g biv is in that order because that is the way you see the rainbow from outside to in. Each colour. You dont say it from inside to out, thats just stupid.

As Struff said, you say it Roy / G / Biv. That isnt hard.

Vig / gy / or is so stupid, you'd never remember it.
