Slamman
Who added this? Seems like it's entirely optional and I added it to some upgraded OS XPs I have but not all...what are the advantages to having .Net Framework and has it proved useful?? Spawngasm
When I installed Neverwinter Nights 2 the other day .NET was a requirement. I'd suggest keeping it if I were you, because a lot of applications use it.
Slamman
Typically it's optional under Win Updates as I recall... I think it would be more desirable on a machine with more space and speed... I used it for Google Earth and NASA's own version of that.... I'll think of it.... wait.... {WorldWind} damn hahaha I saw that game at the Goodwill, that one's rather old, isn't it? I noted in WinDVD that one of the requirements for software based DVD is hardware overlay from the graphics card. Also, all CPU stats were under 500, which means DVDs will play on those with 266Mhz on up IIRC, but even at 500 and 600, they have many issues...best case made for DVD on a PC or Laptop is a 700Mhz on up. I've had some issues but my first computer didn't so it had something to do with the way the software and hardware interacted I'm sure. That machine came with only 64MB installed. It's amazing to me how long I ran it stock!! (didn't want to mess with the tamper-proof warranty tag of course!)
