Nothing like New York, Paris, London, LA... where you see people from all over the world EVERYWHERE in the city.

I don't think Rockstar will try and include the same level of ethnic groups you see in places like London today. If I walked in Oxford Street or Piccadilly Circus, I can see Indians wearing saris, Muslims with traditional dress and Jews with the awesome hats in the space of about 5 minutes.

 

To put that level of diversity in GTA would, frankly, be a waste of time.

This is the same for all these city. Liberty city diversity is far from New York city diversity.

Los Santos don't show a tenth of LA diversity. Do you know that there is more east asian people than black in Los Angeles ?

This would be the same for London or Paris.

How many of those criminals are foreigners? That's the problem with Manila, it's far too homogeneous. I want to be able to see a distinct variety in the criminals in my GTA. Having a game set around a single group of criminals isn't as entertaining as having a place like New York, Los Angeles or London; which are cultural melting posts. They contain people from nearly every part of the world.

I know your point if u like to see a foreigner in manila, visit makati or a place called boracay that's far from manila, there you'll see different people in different country.

I've been in Tokyo. And the people are not that much diverse.

Rhere may be foreign people in Tokyo. But still Japs overcrowd the city.

And i feel really2x safe in Tokyo. People are so nice, they Bow every time you ask for

something, guide or etc. I even went to this street they say full of Gangs. But what i found

out it is full of Hiphop. BBoys, beatboxers, breakdancers and posers. They dont know the difference

of Hiphop to Gangsta.LOLS sh*t..

There may be Crime in the underworld. But only the Yakuza thing is what i know so far. And couple

of wanna be WESTERNIZED Gangster Street Racers who feel so supreme because they ride

on supras, skylines and evos.

 

Well not because im from the Philippines. In my Opinion MANILA is the best choice if

it is in ASIA.

Im not saying it is the perfect location for a GTA game. OK????

I think that the next GTA should either be in Middle-America (El Salvador, Honduras, Panama etc...) or the good old Vice City! Vice City would look awesome with the same graphs and details that Liberty City had in IV.

Yes i agree. Most people think that Vice City is the Ideal place for the Next gta to take place.

There is a lot of talk about where but when is another important question. I really hope it's not in the present time. I'd rather have it sometime in the past because the future may be a little cheesey. Many people say the 70's but unless it somehow involves The Thruth I think it may be too much like The Driver series.

I think that they will probably have two cities the size of Alderney, two the size of Bohan, 5 the size of middle park (small towns) and country side next time around. I still dobut London because of cultural differences. Dan Houser has already said on IGN.com they are to going back to Vice City and San Andreas( sorry to destory the party) and that they have had ideas for 10 yrs they have been waiting to do. So I guess we will find out.

I live in London and I don't think much to idea of having it in a game to be honest, it's just too grey and dreary. Sorry London lovers but I want a bit of escapism in my gaming. London won't fit with GTA, GTA is America.

I would love to see london in the new game. I know some of you think london doesnt have crime like america, or it doesnt have the same violence etc, but if you really look into it, london in one of the largest gangster/crime/violence major cities in the world. The amount of crap that goes on is huge, you just don't tend to get very many public shootings etc. Most of the major crime is organised.

 

If any of you remember the game the getaway, that was an ok showcase of what london could give. And you gotta love british police cars haha!

 

And any of you londoners reading this, could you imagine being able to go into brixton in gta? If they made it realistic you'd get shot for being in the wrong post code...

Not too mention the fact that we already have a history of organized crime (Cockney Firms) as well as a string of immigrant gangs (Yardies, Triads, Russians etc.).

That is true. Though I think that if Grand Theft Auto ever returned to London it should focus on the organized criminals. Street gangs would play a medium sized role in the game. The reason I say this is because we've already had a game focusing on street gangs (San Andreas); but we've never seen the type of gangs we see in London in any other GTA.

I agree. Street gangs in London have very little organisation and don't engage in organised crime, so a game based on street gangs like that wouldn't be as good as a game focusing on organised crime.

I personally don't like the idea of going to London just yet. A city as beatiful as that with so many stories that needed to be told needs to be on a more powerful system. I think thats the only way Americans will like going to London. Plus for emotional impact facial features need to be worked on by R8 first for more emotion. It would be a good game but R* should concentrate on America for now were they now the culture almost perfect now and were the majority of the people who buy the game reside. Shoot there's still the southwest (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico) The whole Midwest. And most of the eastern seaboard and south they should do first.

No I'm not saying that but most Americans probably won't be able to understand most of the culutral references. This can be made up by better graphics and better emotions from characters.

In my case, that has some elements of truth.
