I'm kinda digging the whole idea of a GTA London. I think we can all agree that The Getaway series is on the disappointing side; if someone's going to get the whole "Snatch" and "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" vibe dead on it'd be Rockstar. Of course, I'd want my Vice City and an entire San Andreas remake/reboot first.

I'm will be happy with the new GTA staying inside North America... nowhere else... the new generation (GTA III) started here, it will end here, and it will stay here in between.....

 

There is only two things that I ask them to do, One bring back the CHEETAH!!!!!!!!!! such a great car get rid of all the other garbage ones like the virgo just to bring that one back please.. and two C'mon I want snow for god sake that would be so bada** if they had a blizzard happen and you just see the drivers flying into snowbanks killing random pedestrians

 

Vancouver sounds sweet and Boston sounds sick or even a made up place that resembles chicago or Denver lets see the hotel from Shining!!!! lol my biggest hope is for snow thats all I ask

Why ? Ive never understood why people say this. What huge difference will it make it a GTA game has snow or not, itll make things more whie wooohooo. Seriously though i hardly ever notice the weather in GTA games when i am playing them. Wheter its in the next GTA game im not going to worry about it.

Id rather them work more on the storyline etc than adding some snow into the game but thats just my opinion.

Barely noticing the weather is a great reason to add snow. It would add a layer to driving and the difficult level trying to escape from the cops. It wouldn't be a major part of the game, but continue to add to the realism. I'd love to see a Denver type area...or from the sounds of it Seattle/Vancouver style city. I hope R* brings back some of the countryside that we saw in SA as well.

GTA: Boston would be awesome, like off The Departed. Maybe be Packie. I don't know why but i want GTA to stay in America, don't know why but i think it would be the best thing to do. Maybe Gta could do Libreity City, Sand Andreas and the new city together, that would be awesome

I want a re-done San Andreas in the modern day, I just think America has everythin a game needs, controversy, lots of crime, an endless list of gangs.

 

I will be pissed if it is in Cuba, China/Japan, Paris.

Vice City. At least, I hope so. But, let's see...

 

GTA III = Liberty City. A kind of "small" game, didn't have things like motorbikes, para-chuting, air planes (apart from the Dodo), it was just one city, etc. You see the connections with GTA IV? Although the last one is much more detailed and stuff, it's a new game engine (just like III) and so, Rockstar is not using its full power, nor are they adding lots of stuff like planes, bicycles, a bunch of vehicles, etc.

 

Vice City was next, so I think that now Rockstar is going to use RAGE and all the stuff from IV, expand it and create Vice City heavily based in Miami, just like LC is based in NYC. And we won't need to wait so long, because a big part of the game core is already built, they just need to perfect it.

 

And then, it will end with San Andreas, where Rockstar is going to push the game engine to the maximum and create Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Ventures (alongside with the desert and rural areas) heavily based in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, with much more detail, RPG elements and all that stuff that made SA the game it was, a real sandbox for you to play in, throwing your crazy ideas in there and see them working.

i would have to say none of the above. They are the cities everyone wants the next gta in. And to be honest it sucks. The reason why. Is that they would not be fresh or new.

I wouldn't like it to be set in London. All the narrow streets would just be mayhem and anyways, The Getaway has already done London.

 

I would like it to be set in Vice City or Los Santos.

 

Or just a crazy thought, what about Africa? You could have a small city along with massive stretches or countryside, including animals. I'm thinking something like Far Cry 2 but GTA style with a main city.

I personally think that are going to do a new vice city then after that game make a san andreas. I think it would be awesome to have a remastered Vice City not to mention thats my favorite city in the series.

I hope some day we have the technology to have multiple cities and instead of buying a new game every few years there would simply be add ons that you could download. Then I would want Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City, maybe two cities that haven't been in the done in the USA, a foreign city like tokyo, and maybe a small island based off south america were drugs are grown.

San Andreas, who knows what the SA IV game is going to be like since it would probably be coming out in late 2014 - 2015 and since the game industry is changing faster and faster by the year rock star could be gone or another thing, and the owner ship of GTA would be lost like whats happened to many games.

LONDON - This could be slightly bias because i am brittish, but i definetly think America has run out of cities to work with on GTA, and in my opinion repeating liberty for GTA IV was a bad idea....

 

London is the perfect place, Imagine assassinating someone on the london eye or big ben... Or having a scrappy cold blooded gang fight in one of the crap bits of town... chasing someone through a gig at hyde park or something. There is so much happening in london. And R* have the oppertunity to finish what the getaway started, even what they started !

 

I know alot of Americans think that there is no gun crime in London, but beleive me you are faaaaar from wrong if you beleive that. It is alot worse than New York and miami i'm sure.

San Andreas, GTA is based on American Culture so no London, no offence... So they made a remake of Liberty City 3 times now and San Andreas only once, VC twice... It's San Andreas' time to shine now!

Yes, The Getaway has already done London, but come on, that was way back on the PS2 so R* won't rule it out on that basis. They won't lose out on sales aslong as they set it in a large city that the US, UK and European market can assosciate with. So that would rule out your stupid suggestions of Africa, Australia and Asia. I'm pretty sure they won't go to Tokyo because firstly, there isn't alot that people assosciate with Tokyo (I challenge you to name one iconic building there), and also the realism aspect would be lost because of the language barrier (everything would have to be written or spoken in Japanese or it would just look and sound stupid).

 

The city(ies) of choice would need to have a huge diversity of cultures in order for it to be really varied and interesting. The only cities that could do this are: London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Paris, and maybe Chicago.

 

In London, you could start off living in the projects of South/East London working for hoodie gangs. These areas are just as crime-rich as American slums. With progression of the game, you could work for Triads, Italian Mafia, Jamaican Yardies, Yakuza, Russian Mafia in true GTA fashion - all these gangs have an equally high presence in London as New York. By the end you could be living in Kensington working for the billionaire Arab sheikhs who reside in Knightsbridge. That, in my opinion, would be the best GTA4 sequel.
