I'm not going to buy GTA V unless it includes:

1. Splitscreen co-op

2. real cheats (i.e. God mode and unlimited ammo)

I'm not going to buy it unless it has that. It would be kinda nice to have:

1. Seasons (with show)

2. Airplanes and copters (but one of the copters need to have rockets)

3. Difficulty settings

4. An Infernus spawn location (or the equivalent to the Infernus)

sorry if a similar idea has been posted before but how about this:

storyline starts off with the main character being a rich guy who loses everything he has - family, friends, mistresses, businesses, houses, and other properties (maybe because of some tax complications or something to do with the state). being down and out he has to claw his way back to prominence GTA style.

Not feeling the cliche comeback story at all, also you're not going to convince the general populous to relate to a once rich character.

Not going to happen.

I also agree, playing rich Niko was boring, although I make my own fun.

I want someone like Niko in the next game, not tied to any particular gang but wants power rather than money - more like how the amazing Mr. T Vercetti started with nothing and ended up with the money and his own Vercetti gang.

Tommy beats all the other protaganists of GTA by leagues! biggrin.gif

I would like an Animus 2.0 so I could follow the story lines of the protagonists ancestors as well. I want to be able to jump from the Barj Dubai and land in a small barrel of hay, or better yet, pink leaves and walk away without any damage.

Jokes aside, I really see no point to wishlists. Have you not realized yet that Rockstar doesn't give a flying f*ck about what the community wants? They make it how they want it, not how others want it.

If anyone played through true crime streets of NY (NOT the LA one) They'll agree the weapon acquisition system was second to none. The weapons selection was second to none, and the fighting was pretty damn good as well. Rockstar would do well to go in the same direction, the current weapon system is awful, too few weapons and they're not polished enough.

I also hope they stick with the realism of IV and TLAD, while deviating on the side with DLC comparable to BOGT, I believe that to be a winning formula.

I think GTA's weapon selection system is fine as it is.

The weapon aquisition in TC was ok - it suited the police feel, as he could obtain them "officially" or buy them illegitimately from a pawn shop.

I did like the fighting though - learn a style then another.... but if V use it they should build on it- make it more in depth the only bad thing about TC's hand-to-hand was the lack of moves per style.

as to realism, i'm with you, but i think they could add features like parachutes planes or whatever - 'chutes won't be unrealistic.

I think if the next game is VC or SA, then we will see a more crazy gameplay, if that makes sense?

Still semi-realism (with the odd push) ftw"! lol

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

I'm praying for SA, that game was just epic.

I would be fine with SA as long as it isn't anyone like CJ as the protaganist - I want Mafia or no gang ties at all, not some green wearing hoodlums from so little cul-de-sac in the worst part of town!

GTA San Andreas was one of the greatest games of all time, especially for the age is what made in. I know i dont stand alone. It had more to do then IV. If R* remade it, with more detail and the stuff they've learnt that their followers enjoy, AND with the new technology I think the long awaited Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories, wouldn't be on the shelf for very long once it released. The thought of having the next GTA somewhere else, other than America wouldn't be the same. I miss all the free roam and the amount of clothes and food stores you can enter and buy a variety. Being able to fly airplanes and parachute out. Area 51 was always a laugh with friends and the desert in multiplayer would be unreal. And a new variety of weapons, like modern ones. High laser snipers, night vision goggles. More off road vehices too. Being able to dive, not hold your breath to prevent getting shot by Vietnamese mobsters, actual diving, underboats, planting bombs. Scenery being more detailed adds so much beautiness to your playing.

I wouldn't mind having windshield wipers. And maybe even an option to turn then on or off.

It'd be great if their debut trailer for the next game is the complete opposite as of the one from IV -- instead of being all down and sad make joyful and EXCITING!!

Cruise Control would be good. Having to steer? not so much.

I like the idea of setting a waypoint and the protagonist automatically follows the road rules until he reaches the destination. But you aren't allowed to skip it. If the protagonist encounters resistance on the way, or he can't reach the destination, the player is notified with a warning or something. You decide.

Well regarding the setting, I'd like it to be set in the 1970s somewhere in coastal San Andreas. I'm probably alone in wanting a 70s GTA, but I just love the sounds and images of that time period so much. Thematically, the last three games we got Rockstar's take on modern America from the POV of an outsider, Rockstar's take on the biker subculture and Rockstar's take on the urban night club thing. We've also seen them do America in the 80s, 90s and 00s and all turned out very nicely. One thing I don't like about the idea of doing Vice City again is that Vice City and Miami really works best in the 80s. That epitomizes the whole vibe. Thats really what its about. Think of Miami and you think of the 80s. So to do Vice City in the modern day would be, IMO, defeating the point of doing Vice City. And doing it in the 80s again could be redundant. The great thing about California is that its very notable in two decades, the 90s and the 70s. Listen to music from the early 90s and it stinks of California. Listen to classic rock music from the 70s and it stinks of California. Led Zeppelin brings to mind bell-bottoms, smoking grass and California. So I think revisting San Andreas in the 70s would be good because 1) It brings us back to San Andreas in a time that works in the area's favour without being redundant and 2) the 70s is an era Rockstar hasn't touched with GTA. The 70s is home to so many characters and events to play with and poke fun at.

In terms of gameplay, either tone down the social and mundane elements (going bowling, watching TV, surfing the internets, playing darts) or ramp up the violence and action to compensate. If I really want to watch Tv I'll just turn off the videogames and do so, thanks. Bring back more of the exaggerated action from the PS2 games. Red Dead is in a realistic setting but it still uses bright movie blood and stuntman physics. Do the same thing for GTA. Make it like a Tarantino film again. Take inspiration from both grindhouse cinema and mainstream movies of the day. Also, for God's sake, let the character run if I push down the damn analog stick.

Something in general that I'd like would be more mobility, interactivity with the environment and reasons and rewards for doing so. Being able to roll under cars and duck into manholes to hide. Being able to jump up, grab and pull yourself up onto fire escapes or other low hanging platforms. To be able to climb up telephone poles. To be able to climb up onto cars. For any pursuing enemies to have to actually look around for you. I'm not asking for Infamous meets Splinter, just for the character to be fit enough to be mobile on foot and for the game to reward the player for being creative on foot. I'd also like to be able to park you car and duck down, letting cops go right past you.

you should be able to customize cars again like in san andreas

Yeah. Or at the very least be able to buy a car and choose what colour it comes in.
