One thing, please. Better car chases!

I was just playing the mission in IV Union Drive for Bernie and I had a bad-ass chase, fast moving, fast shooting buit still unrealistic and realistic enough at the same time, in balance.

If GTA V would have any more than one mission with this kinda chases I'd be very happy.

Here is my vision:

 

Since the Japanese design philosophy is to first make a characther and his moves, and then they build the level, here goes:

 

Main character features:

 

On foot:

 

Walk, fast-walk,jog,run,sprint

With an option to "fixate" the speed (you set it up and he walks at that speed, you dont need to hold any stick or button for walking, like auto-walk)

 

Crouch

Crouch-walk (already in GTA)

Lie down on the floor (like soldiers going through low obstacles, like MGS)

Roll in any direction (using the analog stick)

Jump in any direction (this feature is already in GTAs)

Long-jump by first sprinting

Jump and roll on landing (this is automatic in GTAIV when jumping from high altitude)

 

Grab onto things (already since GTASA)

Sit down function (sit down on benches, a cars hood, anything, using contextual menus)

Lie on the back

Sleep anywhere

Lay on a wall

Wall-mount (like in MGS) + peak around corners

 

 

Car interactivity:

 

When a car is approached a context menu appears with the following:

 

Unlock car

Open door

Brake in

smash windows

open trunk

open gas tank

step in as passenger

step in as driver

scratch the car

 

First person and 3rd person view

custom 3rd person view (saveable view angle)

 

Thats it for now. Next time will be the other stuff.

U mean a menu like on the hitman games. That could work. So if u don't want to make noise u could pick the lock of a car door in a mini-game. Nice

The next thing, GTA Online!!! I know GTA 4 has online gaes and whatevah but I'm talking a full on Grand Theft Auto MMORPG game. It would be of epic proportions!!! Or possibly it would suck horribly.....

Good outrageous atmosphere, not like Liberty City one, whose financial center was nothing but a lot of sky-scrapers.

 

P.S. Emigrant's drama in Liberty? C'mon...I didn't really feel the drama when I started the game and I think the idea of it wasn't well-realized.

For old times sake, How about an ice cream truck that sells to pedestrians and can be used as a health regeneration spot like hot dog and burger stands.

 

One thing i would really like though is the weather affecting the world harshly, like huge puddles forming or the sea flooding. Just a couple of ideas off the top of my head.

You can shoot when ur in a car, bus, bike, but you can't shoot from a helicoper if ur flying.... Would like to see this improved so we can...

 

And if people are in the helicoper with you (multiplayer) they can use a snipper gun as well and not limited to just a few guns.

Just some simple things.

The ability to take people hostage and use them as human shields, like in Splinter Cell: Double Agent or Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

 

I figure that the R2 button (standard controls) or L1 button (classic controls) could be used to perform an animation where the main character grabs the closest person to him and puts his left elbow around the guy's neck while the right hand is used to aim a one-handed weapon (such as a pistol).

A first on GTA, but a season change would be cool, at for a year, know start at spring, than summer, than fall, than winter.

And that should include climate change as in winter there will be snow.

I want assassination missions to be back!

 

I want one of the bosses the protagonist to be working for, be someone like Playboy X, at least this time don't make him being able to be killed in the storyline, make him one of the protagonist's allies till the end.

 

I want more types of exotic sports cars

 

I want the protagonist to be able to have lavish nightlife, be able to visit clubs, have drinks and dances (just like BOGT)

 

I want the protagonist to be able to buy properties and businesses

 

I want the Settings to be in cities like London, Nice (France), Morroco or Monaco, or Miami/Los Angeles if R* insists to have it in USA again.

 

I want the system requirement of the game not to be too high, so that I can still play the game (THE MOST IMPORTANT)

13. Tons and tons of transport modes (public and private ) : from segways to jets , from bikes to tanks, from subs to sportscars , from golf caddys to helicopters,from trucks (+trailers) to race cars

 

Of course, all the stuff in previous gta's should be included........parachute, bank robbery, dive underwater (maybe with a submarine) and so on ..

 

 

Ok now the really cool stuff :

 

- if you destroy public property service should come and repair them

 

- while in a cop chase or killing spree or bank robbery or other crimes , there should be news vans and helicopters with actual reporters that broadcast

 

- you should be able to hide in dumpsters or even in the sewers

 

- the city should look different as you progress through the game (new buildings are built, some are demolished)

 

- when you're arrested the cops should take you to court and have a trial, and then to prison, from which you'll escape by bribing people and create a new identity with the help of your friends (see next one)

 

- friends : you should have a specialist in making fake ID , one in weapons (like james bond)

 

- you can choose your life stile ( gang , join the police, the army, become a hitman, )(also see next one)

 

- if you join the police or army you should choose to be corrupt and take bribes ( i'd like a gta more like True Crime )

 

- finally you should get very rich at the end of the game and have private jets and mansions and you should be a mafia boss or something

 

 

 

 

 

 

And of course , all the other crazy ideas seen before and after this comment !

Well most of the things I think it needs are things that could happen in previous games

 

Examples:

 

in Vice City Stories you could buy property and build on it, i would like that back

 

also in vice city stories there was one cheat which made everyone follow you, this was extremely fun because you could make and army attack the military base.

 

in san andreas you could drive a train and derail it by going to fast. that was fun

 

theres that one level in IV where you do a bit of climbing and free running, I'd like that on a larger scale

 

charecter custimisation and the san andreas charecter custimisation

 

quad bikes, planes, helicopters, jet skis, surfing, skating, if theres snowy mountains then skiing. and just all fun new ways of transportation

 

be able to paruchute wherever you want like in san andreas

 

the gta IV hooker system, buy it, do it, pay it, kill it, rob it

 

sometimes i like to put a bit of story making in it so there should be an option where once you kill someone, you have to hide the body, but this should be able to turn off and on

 

more hidden jokes like shopsigns, like "[email protected]"

really big map

 

there was a mission in san andreas where you drove one of those harvisters around. you should be able to do that and when it goes over someone the body comes out in squares

 

Killing Children, but in a more alberate way. like you could have the ice cream van and be able to lower the children in with the noises it makes and then SPLAT.

 

 

theres always an airport, but you should be able to go inside it.

Here is my complete wishlist. None of these are new but i'm hoping that rockstar people are reading this site.

 

1. a decent car mod facility. does not have to be very expansive.

2. An interesting game setting. SA was great because the setting was wonderful. Liberty is boring by comparison.

3. Gang interaction. there's nothing like putting together a crew to take down enemies with a hail of bullets.

4. More varied vehicles. Take away most of the non-descript saloons and bring in more sports cars, choppers & speciality vehicles.

5. Bring back the Cheetah! nuff said.

6. Animals? they managed it with Bully so why not GTA. would be fun to kick them and they could chase after your car.

7. Bombastic main character. Someone who doesnt take sh*t and is ready to blast on fools at will.

8. More friend side-missions. Find fun ways to hand out with friends without having to wine & dine them. Maybe stealing cars for a wishlist (again, but so what?) or helping friends settle scores.

9. Underwater swimming. one of the most incredible facets of GTA SA. it's a different world down there!

10. Great music, not just period appropriate music. While SA music was very 1990's, it also contained classics that complemented the gameplay and scenery. (free as a bird whilst flying a jet fighter across the desert?)

11. No more spazzing out when trying to get into cars etc. Why must he walk around the car and then do a shuffle before entering cars? Doesnt happen that often but is very annoying.

12. Rags to riches. I know a lot of people dont like this but I find that it adds to the momentum of the storyline.

13. GARAGES! Parking spaces clearly do not work. Nice try but it's very, very frustrating.

14. Buy safehouses. If you're earning money, why not spend it? Multipe safehouses means more car storage and u dont have to waste time driving across town to save.

15. Last but not least, I want a slither of fantasy. Something with a bit of wow factor like learning to fly or stealing fighter jets and jet-packs on GTA SA.

 

I don't think I'm asking for too much.

I WANT The person to be black with better graphics. Make the bullet wounds look real & better clothes for blacks & Whites. Different style of fighting & side careers. Withlonger gameplay. Houses you can rent & pay for & buy cars. Beable to break out of jail. Go to the pin if you break the rules. Better cell phone options like buy youre electronics at different stores. Have real stores & restaurants such as Wal-mart & Mc Donalds with realitic drive thru & beable to shop in Wal-mart with a bugget.

- Longer Storyline: When I played through Assassin’s Creed 2 one of the things I really liked was the character aging. I don’t think it should be that drastic, but having a year visibly go by could be great. The story begins in winter and ends in winter, for example, and in multiplayer you could unlock any season. Like someone said, driving on ice would be incredible, especially with the physics Rockstar uses.

 

- A More Emotional Story: Playing Heavy Rain you really, really grow to care about the characters. Having longer cut-scenes and more main characters that are there from the beginning could make the game into a better experience. The ending of GTA IV was good because you ended up caring about Roman, but I didn’t care about Niko’s girlfriend (Michelle?), so I didn’t care when she betrayed him.

 

- Unlockable Content: By the time you’re done the game you’d probably have a lot of money unspent, so why not have the option to use that for unlockable making-of videos, special weapons, or cars?

 

- Rewards: I’m actually not sure if they carried this over to GTA IV, but I don’t think so. To use the pigeon hunt as an example, after killing 20 you should get a weapons award of some kind. 50 another one, you shouldn’t have to wait until you’ve gotten all of them.

 

- Customization / More of Everything: Meh, everyone pretty much went into this and said it better than I could. I’m kind of on-the-fence about it because doing a mission dressed as a stripper clown would ruin any emotional investment in the story, IMO. However, you’d be shooting people in the face dressed as a stripper clown, so it kind of evens out. The MGS4 way of weapons customization would work well in this game, I think, with the ability to add silencers, etc. Going off that, more weapons in general, as well as cars, but that seems like an obvious thing that’ll happen in the next GTA.
