Your Wishlist: What Do You Want In GTA V?

My wish for GTA NeXt is obviously San Andreas Stories.

Also thank god the next GTA dreams are all split into one forum. The GTA4 forum is full of random trolling and new members signing up with the same topics about GTA this and GTA that...

I figure if Claude was in San Andreas Stories eating steak, then some people would be in heaven.

Seriously though, I'd like to see a little more street thug ingenuity. Improvising weapons out of items found in the environment, that sort of thing. A cue ball inside a tube sock can make a hell of a melee weapon. Ask Steven Seagal. tounge.gif

Here is my vision:

Since the Japanese design philosophy is to first make a characther and his moves, and then they build the level, here goes:

Main character features:

On foot:

Walk, fast-walk,jog,run,sprint

With an option to "fixate" the speed (you set it up and he walks at that speed, you dont need to hold any stick or button for walking, like auto-walk)

Crouch

Crouch-walk (already in GTA)

Lie down on the floor (like soldiers going through low obstacles, like MGS)

Roll in any direction (using the analog stick)

Jump in any direction (this feature is already in GTAs)

Long-jump by first sprinting

Jump and roll on landing (this is automatic in GTAIV when jumping from high altitude)

Grab onto things (already since GTASA)

Sit down function (sit down on benches, a cars hood, anything, using contextual menus)

Lie on the back

Sleep anywhere

Lay on a wall

Wall-mount (like in MGS) + peak around corners

Car interactivity:

When a car is approached a context menu appears with the following:

Unlock car

Open door

Brake in

smash windows

open trunk

open gas tank

step in as passenger

step in as driver

scratch the car

First person and 3rd person view

custom 3rd person view (saveable view angle)

Thats it for now. Next time will be the other stuff.

That's an interesting concept but I hope it could be switched on or off. Executed poorly, something like that could become horribly frustrating (character doesn't stop moving when you need him to, etc.)

I also like the idea of having multiple options when you approach a car, and that function could be used for other things as well.

Holy cow, how long has this part of the forum been open? I expect a crash with the amount of GTAIV haters and fanatics. biggrin.gif

I hope not, because this hasn't been as noobish as the IV forum while the game was in development. It's kind of refreshing, and I hope it stays that way. wink.gif

A first-person view button (similar to Metal Gear Solid) that you can pull up to see right in front of you would indeed be useful...

My wish is San Andreas Stories.

It would be cool if the whole game was based on the hood.Somewhere in the early 80's when Bryan was still alive and when the families were united.

You'd play with some hood character, like B-dup or someone like that.

If not that, than you'd play with Giorgio Forelli in LC while Tommy was there working for Sonny.

If you crash your car at high speed, you lose health

The GTAIV cop system

More melee weapons (that can only be found on the streets and not purchased)

Lightning that sets fires on the streets and can zap people

Shooting buildings and cars results in permanent bullet holes

More people on the beach, the tide actually sweeping in and out

Newschoppers and AI aircraft that actually have people flying them

More recreational means of transport (Segway, skateboard)

That's all I can get from the top of my head for now.

I've always wondered what GTA would be like if car collisions produced realistic results...instant death even if it's bad enough. It'd make a lot of missions harder, but that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing....to me anyway. Difficult games intimidate people nowadays, so I doubt we'll see it.

Yeah that would deffentley be a very cool feature. It could get annoying if you were being chased by the cops or something like that, but aside from that I think it would be cool.

It would be neat if it applyed to all the other peds. They get in a car crash and they die.

I suppose we can add the obligatory skateboard too if we're gonna have surfing....maybe this time it'll make it out of beta cool.gif

But really, if it's gonna be San Andreas there's gotta be surfers. It's supposed to be Cali, right?

Things I want in "GTA: NeXt":

- More features to spend my money on.

- More enterable buildings.

- The feature to rappel down rooftops.

- More weapons/cars.

- Countryside, mountians, beaches etc. GTA IV lacked of that, there was only an occasional dirt path way to drive off road on.

- Improved charactor animations.

- The abbility to hang on to moving cars, like in the GTA IV trailer.

- Buyable houses.

- R* to do like Valve and release a developers kit for modders, like myself, so we don't have to script our own tools. It would make our job's so much easier.

I voted for Vice City in the poll, but to be honest, i'd really like some sort of game with 3 new cities separated with a lot of countryside and mountains, more then GTA San Andreas had.

You may say the would be useless, but there could be a lot to do there. It's just that Rockstar didn't use the countryside potential that much in San Andreas.

I still haven't tried GTA IV to judge it, so i can't say anything more then this, although hopefully next week, judged by what i play i give a better response to what may and should be improved.

Some things that i'm sure would like are the return of some vehicles from the past GTA games, the return of planes, a bit more realistic airports.

I'm not in the whole thinking of new ideas mode yet but now that theres the new topic I'm sure I will be coming up with many.

As for now I only have a few, first I agree with having more options to spend money on. Along those lines I think they should have many many more close options. I liked the way the changing and buying clothes worked in IV but there wasn't enough to buy and choose from. If they mixed that system with the amount of different clothes in SA it'd be perfect.

Second I also would like a countryside again. I didn't think it would be a big deal not having it in IV but I soon realized that I missed the countryside and going through it to get to different cities. I did like the small freeway system in IV though as it felt very realistic, now if only there was countryside and another city for the freeway to go to.

Lastly, I REALLY want more vehicle interactivity. It's somewhat of a small part of the game but after having so much in SA and going to none in IV, it felt like a huge part was missing. As far as vehicle interactivity I'm talking about things such as moving the boom on tow trucks and actually being able to tow stuff, semis actually pulling trailers, forklifts being able to move the forks up and down, ect. ect...

Thats all for now I'm sure I'll be back with many more.

Just thought of another thing... Car modding NEEDs to return in my opinion. It was so fun being able to customize your car. Also along with this i think some customization of your character shoudl return. Maybe not like fat or muscle, but definately hair, beards, and tattoos.

When Did Rockstar announced the next GTA Series, Hmmmm..

Well then:

1. 5 Cities makes a huge map.

2. Plenty Of Missions to enjoy<<Double than San Andreas's Missions

3.Game Play will be more realistic

4.No Unnatural Missions, like the Freefall and the Vertical Bird Missions

5.How abt, Controlling two charecters, 50% game with a hero and another 50% game with another hero

6.Game's time limit must be 90's-2000

7.According to my 3rd opinion, Health will be lowered down when in accident

8.MOre Weapons

9.Less Using of Drugs and F-Words,Sex and Nudity<<Dont want to see the next Gta Get Banned

10.How abt, when wandering arnd the city, the hero can rage another driver to make a street race.

11.Headlights Feature

12.More Realistic Vehicle interior graphics

13.MOre moddable parts and more cars(ofcourse)

14.Cars will have real names

15.A ciruit or a course to race<<Just like the golf club in VC.

I'll tell more if comes in my mind

RidingHigh

More drivable vehicles

More weapons and more places to buy them

More Euphoria

More open space

More drugs and hookers

Bring back dismemberment from GTAIII(Didn't you love blowing people arms, legs and heads off until they're nothing but a torso?)

More stuff to spend large amounts of money on.

The ability to grab onto and climb just about anything

Bring back rampages, or something similar. Such as annoymous payphone missions that are ramageish in nature.

Lots of the stuff said on this thread I agree with. Also, I second the person who said first-person shooting/combat. I mean it would actually be nice to use sights (not just the sniper sight) and if you ever got bored of shooting your weapons all the time in third-person and want a new view you'll have first-person. Also, first-person gives you a more zoomed in sight since the camera is more focused closer to your targets or whatever you want to shoot. And if you have PS3 and they still have the GTA IV controls it could be hold L2 to aim (halfway held down auto-aim) and hold L1 to go to first-person. That is one feature that can be easily added to any future GTA game and probably won't take up too much disk space. And if you are using auto-aim in first-person, to tell it's in auto-aim there be some icon or symbol on or by the target or the sight (or the health/armor bar of peds. and cops like GTA IV except above their heads like in MGS4 or like anything like that instead of a reticule).

I have only one wish that i would love for a GTA game

I would like it if you the option of going to every city from the previous games.

Say getting a flight from Liberty City to Las Venturas or Los Santos and being able to explore the whole of San Andreas

again. It would be good to have vice city in it to and all the characters from previous games should be back especially CJ

it would be funny too see CJ team up with Niko lol.
