My local headshop sells the spores and to what extent do you need a sterile environment? Surely just the containers you're growing in? Also, the fact that it's a fungus...sterile environment? They don't really go together naturally... Its not all that hard. You just have to boil all your implements, flame sterilize the needle before injecting the spores and just be generally careful not to infect any of the jars. Some people take it very seriously, what with those boxes with holes cut in them so the grower can put his arms in with a sheath over them so it looks all nuclear-sciency... I definitely want to start growing as I have the room for it, but I don't know how to get any needles. I've got a few friends studying medicine at uni, but I'm not going to ask them to nick needles haha.. that's bad. @frank.s: you will regret smoking that gak... it is truly the most disgusting/low experience attainable by a human being. I tried it once and vowed never to again.. Well, for $10-$20 you can get a pretty nice acrylic that you can use when you're tripping really hard or drinking or something. Don't ever have to worry about it breaking. But then again, that's $10-$20 you could have spent on a nice glass piece. And honestly the only reason I could say that a glass bong is better ( aside from cleaning factors, such as resin seeping in the pours on acrylic and solvents ruining the materials, etc. ) is because the bowl pieces on acrylics usually are sh*tty metal ones that aren't very big, get too hot and don't really taste too good when smoking a looot of weed though. Some of them I've seen even have sh*tty acrylic downstems. All that being said, you could find a small little bong for $20-$30 at a convenience store made of thick enough glass, in a sturdy enough compact design to survive some pretty mean falls. Personally though, bongs and the outdoors ( aside from a nice porch or something ) don't really mix with me personally. I've tried and tried it, and to me the best option is to make a bong to use outside for that kind of stuff. My friend and I just use his pipe with a piece of fishing tube in the mouth piece, then run the other end into the open end of a bottle, cover it and the bottle with your mouth as if you were taking a normal bong hit, light it up and draw. It's pretty sweet too 'cause you can just buy a soda or bottled water at a vending machine in the park to do it, and then throw away the evidence on your way out. Gotta give my friend credit on figuring that one out though. You'd be pressing to fit more then 5 grams into a single blunt unless you were using say a Phille or a real cigar and that would still be pushing it. Now if you are saying you rolled wraps together into 1 long ass blunt then that's possible. Anyways a friend of mines just got a half a oz. of NYC Sour D x Grandaddy Purp for about $350 which is a extremely major deal seeing as Grandaddy Purp alone goes for about $30 a gram and Disel goes for anywhere between $15-25 a gram. We just smoke in my shed since i cant smoke inside.
