Your personal favourite NPC/Storyline Characters

Other than CJ, what's your favourite character that has major or minor role in the storylinke mission of San Andreas?

My vote:

Wu Zi Mu - His kindness towards CJ, his manner (except when he's on his nerve), his exaggerating abilities when he's blind.

Catalina - His way of bullying CJ, especially at the point where she yelled "DOG" at CJ, hell that had me laughed so much. Secondly is the prnk call where she was having sex and called CJ..

Mike Toreno - How he treat CJ, especially the final conversation between him and CJ during "Vertical Bird" mission.

Sweet - Of course, his loyalty to Grove Street Families and his leadership skill for the gang.

Big Smoke and Ryder may have been traitors to the GSF, but I loved them.

Tenpenny and Pulaski too, Rockstar did a great job on creating a character you wanted to see dead, unlike Sonny Forelli in Vice City.

In my opinion, switching Diaz and Forelli round would have been excellent. Diaz was a better though-out character and taking over his mansion should have been the reward for completing the storyline. Although, then Lance wouldn't be able to betray you/help you depending whether he betrays you in the Forelli mission which would be earlier. Anyways... I digress.

Toreno all the way. James Woods rocks. And he's hilarious in a dead-serious, institutional manner. CIA humor I guess biggrin.gif

I always thought it would be cool if Rockstar made a sort of GTA-meets-Metal Gear Solid game with Toreno (say, younger as a rookie CIA agent) as the main character. I'd totally be into that.

Ryder is #1. Then again I like most of the character except for the morons in Las Venturas (Kent Paul, Maccer and Ken, I wish I would've killed them...)

I liked Tenpenny, Smoke, Sweet, T-Bone, Woozie, Cesar, Madd Dogg, Toreno, Catalina, Salvatore, and most of the characters that gave me missions...

The one's I hated are Ken, Kent Paul, Maccer, Zero, Jizzy B, B-Dup, Pulaski...

The characters in SA were the one's I cared for most!

-----------------------------

And if we would go to the other games then in VC I hardly liked anyone besides Phil, Umberto and Lance as well as Diaz..

In VCS the characters were great, Lance, Diaz, THE MENDEZ BROTHERS, Martinez, Phil... I liked most of them there!

In III, I liked pretty much all the characters especially 8-Ball. Probably there's one I HATED, Kenji.

GTA LCS had some great characters as well, McAffrey, Salvatore, Toshiko...

But I really disliked Ma and Donald Love.

My most favourite character is Toreno, he says lots of funny or clever stuff. He is also very cool.

And Zero is another I like... Remember: "I will never see the butterflies again..." Awesomeness.

Good Characters:

  • Sweet- He's the only the guy from Grove St. who stays with you till the end.but you might dislike his anger against CJ in the beginning of the game.
  • Paul and Maccer- Their accent, humour.
  • Wu Zi Mu- Very diplomatic and even though he's blind he is damn good.
  • Truth- As CJ says, not everything he says is meaningless. Its just in a different world.
  • Cesar- He showed CJ the real life and how friends duoble cross on you.
  • Toreno- Even though he took advantage of CJ he was there till the end.

    last but not the least

  • Rosie and madd dogg- Madd dogg was an absolute lucky guy because his Rhymes was stolen by Cj and got it back Through CJ. Rosie because i loved him in vice city and the same gets carried over here. Sorry to Mention About VC.

Big Smoke, until the point where you find out he's a traitor. I laughed so much during the cut scenes. SA's characters were so full of life in comparison to the ones in IV imo. Can't say i really care about any of the new ones.

Gantons Most Wanted

The characters I liked were.

- Sweet as his character develops throughout the different stages of the game where in the beggining he gives CJ a hard time and then CJ earns his respect.

-Cesar because he gave you an insight to another gang in the city to some extent even though it was quite brief but him and CJ made a very good team throughout the game.

-Big Bear due to the changes he also goes through from the begining to end but I think they could of done alot more with this character at certain points of the game.

-B-Dup even though he wasn;t a major part of the game he was a small antagonist and gave us the gamers an insight to how bad things were in CJ's neighbourhood but around the time they came back or earlier on I think they should of gone head to head or ade a situation where he either ended up back with Grove or just ended up having his own Ballas gang up on Glen Park fighting for control.

And the majority of other characters but it would take me alongtime to explain my reasons.

The characters I hated were.

-OG Loc because he didn;t do much for the story plus his rapping was wack but overall there wasn't much to this character at all he was just there for comic relief.

-T Bone same again he didn;t do much and we didn;t get chance to learn more about him but it was clear he was just there as a small antagonist but sort of helps bring CJ and Cesars friendship closer together because he was a common enemy.

there are a few more but most likely because there just minor characters and there wasn't much said about them.

Hernandez was a mute, aside from the phone call and his conversation in The Introduction, he didn't say a single word on the mission cutscenes.

I don't understand why they let Big Bear drop off the face of the Earth after CJ got him away from B-Dup and said they were going to "get the old Bear back." They could've had him as backup when you go into Smoke's crack palace or something like that. For all you can tell with your lack of interaction with him from then on, you'd wonder if he went back to being a crackhead.

My all time favourite character by far, was Emmet! Even though he played a small role, he was hilarious

Remember this, you didn't get'em from me! Remember THIS!, and Emmet is the place for guns!

I also liked some of of the peds, like the San Fierro Rifa ped with the white hat.

Well actually, there is quite a lot of hidden content about Big Bear that was never used in the game. If you played the Things to do in San Andreas mod, you would have found out that at the end of the story, Big Bear would have been part of the game.

1. Cesar Vialpando

2. Ryder, because he looked like the late rapper Eazy-e.

3. B-dup, even though he was a minor character, I liked him because the rapper The Game did his voice.

4. And of course, Sweet because his loyalty to the grove.

I did know there was more Bear content hidden - haven't played the mod but I've read scripts - but I still wonder why it never made it into the finished product.

And Emmet - old man is funny too, but he really figured into nothing besides a rather "busywork" mission and giving you a weapon that you're able to find in the Grove from the start sigh.gif
