SantiagoDomingo
Wouldn't it be the coolest thing if the GTA forums were accessible in game, via the in game internet. Perhaps in GTA V things like this will be a reality. The consoles are already connected to the internet for the most part anyway. What is stopping them from doing this? What do you think? And now, a quick word from our sponsors. . . . Aufwiedersehn, Goodnight, I hate to go and leave this pretty sight. So long, Farewell, Aufwiedersehn, Adeiu, Adeiu, Adeiu, To yieu and yieu and yieu, GOODBYE! . . . I would like to take this opportunity to lay to rest, that which destroys all threads, that which destroys all games, that which will inevitably lead to the end of gaming, FANBOY. As the African-American community has done with the word ni**er, so shall we with the word FANBOY. No longer shall the word roll from our tongues, or in most cases, trickle from your finger- tips. No longer will every thread habitually resort to name calling and fanboyism. No longer will a man or a woman have to filter through countless layers of dirt and grime, to find a single gem buried in the thread. The degradation of seemingly hopeful threads must stop. It will stop. With your help. We will be right back after these messages from our sponsors. When was the last time you had a hot, delicious, home-cooked meal? When was the last time your house had a gleam and shine to it, not a speck of dust anywhere to be found? Can you even remember the last time you came home from a hard days work, and dinner was on the table, a cold beer opened and waiting in the hand of your significant other, the other hand open and waiting to take your jacket? Doesn't that sound enticing? The world used to be a different place, men were happily providing for the families, while the women happily made life easier for their men. Times were simpler, people were happier, gas prices were lower. What happened? Hitler happened. Had Hitler not been such a deranged sociopath, life might still be as simple. Had Hitler not tried to take over the world, millions of men would have stayed at home and provided for their families, but these same men had another duty to uphold. To stop the tyranny and oppression of innocent people. With all these men gone there was no one left to provide money for the family. This is when the Rosy the Riveter was born. Women began to filter into the workplace to take the place of the missing men. This sparked a chain reaction, of women leaving their places in the home and hearts of their men and into the workplace. Gone are the good old days. Do the good ole days your great-grandparents enjoyed sound like something you too could enjoy? If so then the MAHFSWWM organization might be the place for you! MAHFSWWM, Men Against Hitler For Starting the Women in the Workplace Movement, is an organization for men, and women, that are against Hitler for forever leaving his perpetual mark on society. We strive for a future world that mirrors more closely with the past world. To join, simply include 'Member of MAHFSWWM' to your signature. And now back to your regularly scheduled program. We as a whole, must end the use of the word FANBOY. This will most likely be a long and arduous process, but with a few leaders among us, the rest shall soon follow. Soon we may all live in peace and harmony, XBOX user walking side by side with a PS user. Think of the possibilities. No more exclusives, we are equal. Wii must all stop the fighting, bickering, and the hatred. With this movement, GAF, Gamers Against Fanboyism, we will see a more progressive direction of the game industry. We will see better, more diverse thread, rife with intelligence, debate, comedy, and emotion. Gone will be the days of crappy insults, soon we shall all be laughing and learning in unison. We will all be able to discuss gaming, intelligently, bounce ideas back and forth, and just plain have a fun experience on the internet. So farewell FANBOY, this is the last time I type that specific order of keys. Stand up! Fight back! Join the movement, GAF is the way. I'm a GAF, are you? SantiagoDomingo
Hahaha We didn't land on GTA forums, GTA forums landed on us.... Is that a quote from How High that I have detected? And Blitz: No song, that is my dream, I am a GAF, are you? And how do you know what the next GTA will be? They haven't exactly been following a formula or anything. It would be good if they could do it. I am surprised that no game as yet has been paid to feature real time adverts in their games. GTA would have been a perfect platform for capitalist greed and such. the billboards and neons in times square would be lit up with coca cola and Macdonalds ads

I like how R* made their own brand names that refer to sex or diseases or stereotypes because they are funny. That's just my opinion though. Don't get me wrong i am in no way suggesting that it would be a good thing, just that i'm surprised that commercialism hasn't penetrated gaming in a big way yet. I mean if Coca cola are willing to paint their logo onto a mountain side in a remote region of Tibet, then it surprises me that they have not yet infiltrated the world of gaming in a significant way

I'm just saying that if i were the head of marketing at a large corporation, i would be willing to pay handsomely to have my distinctive logo showing up in a game so popular as GTA, they could even use patches to update the ads, for the latest campaigns and market strategies. It's only a matter of time before, even game worlds are affected by globalzation
