Instead of using individual maps, the game will take place in a sprawling nondescript land in Africa, with terrain ranging from Savannah to jungle[1], similar to those seen in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, Just Cause and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. The gameplay area will be around 50 km2. Some members of the Ubisoft Montreal team spent 2 weeks in several locations in Africa filming and photographing native wildlife. The team will use the animal footage and environment photos to create an extremely realistic environment. That really freaked me out , it proves how ahead of the current time the game's gonna be, another thing i loved was the compass and the map, no one and absolutely nothing will tell you where to go, you actually have to guide yourself through 50 kilometers of terrain with those two items Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sculptures, pyramids, and more are just a taste of whats in this video. Clearly the map editor won't just be used to make multilayer levels, but works of art as well. The beginning is a bit long, but the action sets in after about 5 minutes. The fire propagation alone is stunning. I could set sh*t on fire all day long. That drive in the beginning took forever. Word of caution, don't take a chaingun to the only vehicle provided to you.
