Question about Anti Aliasing

Recommended Posts

There's a possibility that your graphic card doesn't support anti-aliasing.

Especially if you have an intergrated one, (Intel ones, and ATi on-board ones). Most AGP supports it, and I think all PCI-e support it. wink.gif

XxBowDownxX: What graphic card do you have?

yea its an intel chipset family blah blah 128 mb

You will need to upgrade it. There is no way you can use AA on mobo graphics. You will need to find what slot you have (ie AGP, PCI-E), And for AGP get a X1950 Pro, 6600 GT or 7600 GT, for PCI-E, 6600 GT, 7600 GT, X1950 or better.

ok im not a computer genius so please tell me how to see if its pci or agp. do i have to open my pc? and also are video cards bought and put inside the computer or just downloaded from internet?

Most computers sold in America (US) are pci. Video/graphics cards have to be purchased at a store and installed in your PC. They range in price from $77 up to $120 in this part of the USA. As far as I know you can only upgrade a graphics or video card on a Desktop, as laptops are not upgradeable card-to my knowledge. You can get one from Wal-Mart or Target fairly cheap brand new. Open the side panel on your CPU (the box that contains the CD drive and RAM and Hard drive), and locate your current card and match it up with a new one. Hope this helps.

I try to turn my anti aliasing on in the pc game but i keep pressing arrow key and click on it but it doesnt change and remains off. i cant turn it on. i wanna see how it looks like with on. help me pls
