I'm my own biggest critic, so when I do manage to get a few lines down, I re-read them and delete them. Busy on something right now but I dunno what it's about. You asked me to be a mentor for Lance-Ryder but unfortunately he never PM'd me back. Then i was a short time mentor for Mark-2007 and previewed his stories. I never PMed anything else though because I haven't written any non-BUYG stuff since. What I need most is someone to help me develop things I write into decent plots. I normally open Word and, if inspiration comes, just write about the first thing that comes to my head without thinking what the plot will be. Anyways, I hope some of the newer people are actually engaging in the thought presented in this thread. One should not just ask one mentor, but instead, ask questions to all. I doubt one of the mentors would say that they are the best, we each have good qualities and bad. Good luck to those new writers.
