Gabriel Constantin
I'd be willing to give up some of my time to help a fledgling writer improve. I've done it before, and I'm sure it wont hurt doing it again. Though I may not be as active as other mentors; due to work, life and all that. Rhoda
I'll happily do it, sign me up please. I'm on regularly so I'll be able to PM mentees back within the hour most likely.
Vercetti21
Because we have so many mentors and a shortage of mentees, I propose we assign multiple mentors to one mentee. This solves the problem of inactive mentors and the mentee can learn different techniques and styles and such from the different writers.
mark-2007
Cool, thanks for the interest saltinespike and Unvirginiser. I wouldn't mind having multiple mentors like Vercetti21 suggested. I'll PM some of the stuff I've written so far to whoever shows interest.
Oxidizer
Thinking all the vacancies are taken, but I got a few skills that might help if you require 'em. I can still write and have developed some new techniques, I'm just never in the mood of writing stuff of my own, so I figure I'd help wherever I can. Lochie_old
Ahh, yes, this more mentor and lack of mentees seems to be a problem. I'll sort it out tomorrow, as of now I'm hungover. (Hardcore e-dude, I know.) EDIT: Okay, lets fix this sh*t. It seems we'll have to have two mentors team up as a mum and dad team, or a good cop bad cop team. If any mentors want to choose their partner PM me, if not I'll have just group ya'll together. Edited July 1, 2008 by ~PhusioN~
HawaiianHardHitter
Heck, I feel like I need guidance to help me become a better story teller. I'd like to sign up as a mentee, braddah.
Vercetti21
I'll work with anyone, really. I get along with just about everyone in WD so finding a good mentor partner won't be a problem. Anyone want to work with me to mentor GTAwarrior then that'd be awesome.
Lochie_old
Okay Hawian, I'll assign you too Ronmar and Emi. I'll send you a PM as well. ~Phusion
daviescirca93
Sign me up as a mentee, puh-lease I'd like to pick up my Vercetti Stories fanfic again, thanks.
Pat
I'll help Tim (Vercetti21) out with GTAwarrior, if that's alright with you. Maybe helping someone new out with their writing is just the thing to get me serious about mine again. Edited July 1, 2008 by Pat
Struff Bunstridge
I'd be happy to sign up for either, to be honest. I think I could steer an aspiring writer in good directions, but I could probably also use some help in dragging ideas out of my hollow head and putting them into practice. mark-2007
I'm still up for anybody to mentor me, I know there are already two who have offered but as many as possible if that's allowed. Someone to help me develop ideas, I have loose summing ups of several stories and I'd just want to develop them.
Eminence
After thinking more, I seriously suggest people drop the whole idea of one person being assigned specifically to another, and vice versa. Everybody should just collaborate and help each other, not be bound by a specific partnership or anything of the sort. Aspiring writers, ask around any experienced ones for help. Experienced writers, provide any help to all aspiring writers in the community. We shouldn't get to a situation where someone can only receive help from their specific mentor, or where someone can only give advice to someone considered their specific mentee. And, if that's not going to be the case and everyone will help each other anyway - why bother in any way with this proposed system?
Otter
I think it would work better if there were simply a list of 'mentors' that say, 'OK, anyone who wishes to can approach me for assistance.'
Eminence
Actually, that's a perfect (and fairly obvious - how didn't anyone think of it! ) solution, and something akin to what I was thinking of (albeit mine was more of a be approached regardless of a list, but with a list things would be much smoother). Yeah, I think that's the best way to go about the whole idea.
The Unvirginiser
That's actually brilliant I'll gladly help anybody out.. lot of potential on here
mark-2007
I quite liked the idea of the first thing where we work closely with each other and get to know each other. It'd help stop a lot of the arguments which seem to spring up on here daily, as people know other people and it expands so that everyone respects everyone. Don't get me wrong, everybody should be helpful, but close links with respected writers could help new writers get off to a good start.
Lochie_old
So with just the mentors list with we go! Excellent suggestion Otter. Except some updates soon gentlebeings, then this thing can finally get rolling. Mark brings up a good point but, when people get personal and face to face its much easier to talk other then everyones opinions being drowned in between the middle, this can be solved with the adoption process which will be explained later. ~Phusion
Lochie_old
Updated the front page with a list. If you don't want to be on the mentor list or if I haven't added you please say so! Now I'll just have to sort a few other chinks in the chain (No racism intended) and we'll be sweet!

Ronmar The Only
Thanks for the praise, though I haven't only written Mafia things. Hehe, had thoughts about a story entitled "Love in Florence" but that would be after I finish the next part of L'Asso. Anyways, I was going to say that you wrote 'hes' several times in the descriptions of mentors and I believe you meant he's. I really need to read some of Cuban's things. Cubanwhip
Jeez, my description sounds so generic and boring. Just reading it makes me go limp real quick. Change it to like, "Yeah, this guy writes some...uh...stuff that maybe shouldn't be written."
Oxidizer
Wait. So we're not doing the one-on-one thing anymore? Then I quit! I thought this was gonna be an opportunity to seduce pplz.

Stefan.
I'm willing to be a mentee; I feel my writing and general English needs a bit of a top-up. However, I'm still confused as to what we need to do if we need help.
Lochie_old
Simply Stefan, when you want help with something you are writing, PM it to someone on the list and they are willing to give up their time to help you out with your work. ~Phusion
Chickstick
Ladies, ladies, write your own descriptions. Chickstick: Ask this man for help with present tense, or indeed anything as long as it's not a script. He's crap with those. Yeaaah.
Ronmar The Only
I'm gonna bump this, if only to annoy some people and give others the opportunity to maybe ask people for help.
