"WTF" Moments

Yeah, so what the hey? I copied this from the GTA SA forum, go ahead and sue my ass if needed.

 

Anyway, sure we've all had some gnarly s**t happen to us in GTA IV. But what are your biggest "WTF" Moments?

 

 

Mine must have been when I was getting chased by the cops for the first time, and then when the cop came out his car to get me, I stole his car. I looked behind me and saw him steeling some random peds car so he could continue his pursuit . I laughed so hard .

 

Also another WTF moment for me was when I was taking Roman out to Pool. When I was driving back to his house I think I parked to close to the lampost and he couldn't get out. This happens to most people, but for me, Roman continued driving away.

It said to me that I abandoned my friend so I wasted my time, basically.

where you have to kill pegorino at the happiness island

 

when i shot the before-last guy and killed him i had nearly no health left, so guess what? his goddamn ak droppped and a bullet hit my leg and killed me, it was a real WTF moment

 

also: multiplayer:

 

i had a 4 star wanted level, i was driving a patriot, a roadblock(heavily armored trucks) was ahead of me so i thought i'd drop a grenade when suddenly my friend came by in a sports car(turismo or infernus) at top speed and he ramped me up 30ft high above the roadblock and i dropped the grenade a sec before it exploded right into the roadblock(it was in alderney infront of some bridge in the industrial area) and there were gas tanks at both ends of the roadblock on the sidewalk, the grenade blew up the whole block while i was in the air rolling and flipping with my turismo friend flying straight through the explosion(surviving)

 

if i just had a camera that moment

 

btw i slammed into the sports car from the side, not from ahead

 

edit: another one was in a cop chase, i jumped a superjump with a 5 star wanted level and i had tons of police cars after me, i dropped a grenade at the end of the ramp and they all blowed up, now thats not it, ahead of the jump was a roadblock so my huntley sport crashed on the roof of them(i jumped from the side of the along it), now the cop cars that i blew up rained on the roadblock lol

I've never been shot by a bullet when the gun drops, but whoever that happens to is just plain unlucky.

Weird things happen all the time for me.

 

-I walk out of a building and some guy is dead at the wheel.

 

-Try driving on the any of the bridges and you can see how many WTFs you can get from watching the drivers just like turning all over the place.

 

-I die right before missions are over for stupid reasons. I.E. After Roman's kidnapping mission I start driving him in that blue truck, forgot the name, and I run into a gas tank or something.

 

-Adding to that one. I drove a turismo there and I decided I wanted to drive it back. I start going to it and all of a sudden it says I fail the mission because I abandoned Roman. He was still in the truck...

 

I'm sure I can add a lot more, but I can't remember them all.

Yesterday I was speeding down the freeway & slammed into the back of another car & the driver opened his door, got out & was on fire. I didn't hit him real hard either so I don't have a clue how he caught on fire from that. Interesting to say the least.

When I was going really fast in a turismo then I got air of this hill bit instead of going down it then landing just behind a taxi causing the taxi's back wheels to go on the bonnet and basically use me as a ramp as I went forward

I hate it when people do that on the highways. I hit their car so hard from the side they go over the edge. Then I jump over the bridge and watch them crawl out their car, and swim the shore. I follow them and push them back in and shoot them while in the water.

I was going on a date with Kate, and needed a nice car. Saw a beautiful red vigero parked, and when i stole it the whole car with me inside dissapeared, and i spawned on happines island

Decided that running was bad so I jacked a mini-van of all vehicles in the area and made a u-turn. Coast looked clear when suddenly, four parked civilian cars on the side of the road came to life! Turns out the cops chasing me on foot stole a bunch of civilian cars to ram me with and chase me.

 

- Doing a mission where I had to shoot down a helicopter. RPG, fired, perfect shot. Started to move on when the damn thing fell on me, WTF!

my friend got some cops after him and he was just stand aming at a fat cop running towards him and then like a dash plane (they have been in alot of crashes) he just fall down on the pavement and we were lika "lol! what the f**k was that!". then he shot him in the head... another fun thing is the last mission from.. i dont remember his nme but he is a random person... oh i remember it now!!! hes name is jeff, he walks out in the road and wham!!!! A turismo drives over him and the driver comes out and call the police "hi! i'm afraied that i've run down a chump.......of course i'm old enough to drive!" and the he leaves.

you just gotta hit an object close to the ground to survive a fall, or the edge of a pavement

I did a jump in a Comet at the Airport, and when it landed, the car went through the ground

when i was in a mission and made it all through almost with alot of life, and my friends (in the mission) yelled at me to come! i hade just shot some cops, turned around... and a train hits me... i got really mad

I'll quote myself yet again.

 

 

So I was in Alderney city, next to my safehouse. I just got a brand new Presidente Supercharged, and I figured out it's a gang car. I drove away from the gangster. Then, when I came back, I accidently scraped the side of an Uranus. A Triad (Or some weird Asian gangster) comes out and starts shooting at me.

I then back up, and do a 180 so I can take cover. Another gangster hears the original shooting at me. He gets out of his Presidente and starts shooting mine with his shotty. I decide to call 911 twice, and two cops arrive. Then there is this huge fight between the cops and gangsters, with more cops and gangsters arriving by the minute. In the end, the cops one, and I drove off with my V-10 Presidente.

 

Also, in multiplayer, me and 5 friends got Sultan RS's and went to Westdyke Autos. Then we went on the parking garage, top floor. We got in 2 rows of 3. Then when we went, we all hit the side of the ramp, doing barrel rolls.

 

Then, out of nowhere, my friend appears below us with a freakin' HELICOPTER! Every single Sultan went like 1 block away.

 

EDIT: Also, me and 2 friends were fighting cops on a dock in North Bohan. We all had 5 stars. I was in cover behind a piece of cement, and there was a chopper above me. I couldn't hit it, because of the weird angle. So then one of my friends shoots it with an RPG. It hits the rotor, making the tail fly off. He tells me to run away, so I do. I run to the complete other side of the dock, and I hear rotors breaking. Out of nowhere, the chopper lands on me. I get up, living, but with almost no health left. I was on fire. I ran towards water, and I jumped off the dock. It figures on my way down I hit a piece of wood and died.

One time i was taking a helitour and another helicopter came out of nowehere, started bumping into the one i was in, then its tail broke off and it fell into the river

I have 2; both at the heliport

 

1. I was in a red feltzer and bailed out at high speed towards the front of the main building. Niko ricoche'd off one of the guard rails, only to be crushed by the raised nose falling, of my own car!

 

2.I was buying a hotdog to restore my health after attempting the "finish him" achievement. Anyways, the police was chasing a guy, he resisted arrest so the cops started shooting him, an ambulane nudged me into the path of an oncoming taxi. I died.

A few days ago, I was racing away from the cops on that road that sort of parallels the boardwalk in Hove Beach (speeding away from the Firefly projects) and I witnessed a savage car accident.

 

Right as I was flying through an intersection, there was a bad accident in the oncoming lane.

The dude driving the car in the oncoming lane went flying through his windshield and flew near or over my car. I can't quite remember which.

 

That was trippy.

One hilarious wtf moment was when I was standing in front of the police station, eating a hot dog. I had no stars or anything. Then this random guy runs by, and a cop was chasing after him. I wasn't moving, and the cop ran into me. He tripped, fell over, and died, and I got an instant 3 star wanted level. I lol'd for ages.

I was running around sniping people in North Holland...so I crouched in the middle of the street, but not in front of the traffic cuz I didn't wanna get ran over...so I sniped this cab driver(killed him) then he's dead body steps on the gas and turn the car and runs me over killing me...as if he was trying to...that moment was so WTF I turned off my 360 and got on gta.net just to see this topic...lol

That happened to me too! I was having fun with the cops and I drove to Higgins Helitour to steal a chopper. I headed for Bohan...you know your second safehouse and you meet Elizabette and Manny? I headed for one of the tall roofs on there. Like where Manny and Eli live. I go up there and I land, half of my health left. This chopper comes out of nowhere and shoots me, and since I was sniping and I was on the ledge, I fall and fallllll fallllllllllllllllllllllllll down and when I land my snipe goes off and it shoots (Dunno if he died) shoots a cop in the leg xD. But then stupid black-and-gray screen fades -_-
