GTA 4 Complete Gang List

I love the gangs on the game and just wanted to share what info ive found about them and hopefully get more info from you guys about them. I know theres allready a thread about gangs, but i thought this would be a bit too long to post in someones thread so i made a new one.

 

There are many gangs in Liberty City. They can be hard to find as they dont stand out like in San Andreas. Gangs control and defend a territory and can be seen in that area walking and driving (in their gang cars) around. I havent included any that are just in missions or whatever only the ones that you can see walking around in what turf they're in.

 

This is just some info I've found so far on the game and also from here on the internet.

 

Some things might be wrong so please point out mistakes if you see them. And feel free to add stuff, theres still loads more that would be cool to know, like what crimes they do i.e Albanians; Loan Sharking, Hired Hitmen, etc.

 

How to tell if someone is a gang member:

Punch them and when they start to fight back you pull out a gun, if they continue to fight you or they pull out a weapon then they are a gang member. If they dont do that then they arent a gang member. Or equip a gun and walk into them, if they tell you to put the gun away they are a gang member. Unless you are working for them (see “Gang Mentality” below), in which case they wont hit you or tell you to put weapon away.

Also gangs control and defend a territory and can be seen in that area walking around.

This is why the skinheads/punks are not a gang in my opinion, they run off if you pull a weapon and they never help each other like gangs do. They're just normal peds. Also they dont have any gang cars like the rest.

 

Gang mentality:

Ive noticed that only 2 gang members at a time will fight you normally unless you hit loads, if you just hit one gang member in a big group then only 2 will fight you, the rest run off normally or just wait till you kill one then another will join in so its 2v1 again.

 

When you get on good terms with a gang (through missions i.e when you start working for them or become friends) they wont attack you no more even if you attack them (most times anyway, you still get the odd one who will have a go) and whatsmore they will attack people who attack you even there own gang or other gangs. However if you go on bad terms with whatever gang your working for (which Niko inevitably does) the gang will attack you again.

 

Vehicles:

Gangs each have two gang vehicles that are unique (or modded). e.g the Spanish Lords have a red and gold cavalcade that has a massive sound system in the boot and they have a red and gold primo too. However the Russian Mafiya seem to have 4 cars. Could this be because theres 2 main crews, Faustins and Petrovics? Or could there be a separate Eastern European gang in Hove Beach?

Gang cars are only found (normally) in their respective gang s turf, however they can be driven sometimes by normal peds, but most of the time a gang member or 2 will be in them.

 

Appearance:

Gangs seem to have a few types of “look” for example outside you Bohan savehouse there are Spanish Lords, now if you load your game and walk out of the savehouse you may see the younger men with yellow t shirts in the streets, if you do, you wont (or hardly ever) see the little fat men with black and yellow tops and gold chains. If you reload the game again you might see those little fat men, but you wont see the young skinny men in yellow t shirts. Its seems that they dont spawn together you only see the one type with each other even though they are the same gang. Most gangs seem to have at least 3 different “looks”. This can make it seem like there are two gangs in an area, as if you go to an area one time and a certain “look” of gangster spawns, then next time you go to that area theres a different looking set of gangsters you think its two gangs when it isnt.

 

Some gangs look exactly the same like the North Holland Hustlers and Firefly Projects M.O.B. These two gangs have the same looking members as each other, those big fats dudes aswell as those that dress in the orange sweat suit and blue/red tracksuits. And the Firefly Projects M.O.B gang always talk about “Holland” as if they come from there. Ive read people say the Firefly Projects gang wear red (bloods) and the NHH wear blue (crips). I dont believe this is the case, both gangs wear both colours depending on what gangsters spawn in the area and a lot of the times you see both blue and red together. Those big fat dudes often wear red hoodys and there some who wear blue tracksuit tops with and bottoms/shoes with blue in or the other way around, these people are in both gangs. Both gangs also drive the same cars (Patriot with lights on & Intruder with TVs on the back of the seats). So they're either the same gang or 2 different “sets” of a gang or just a different gang that look exactly the same and drive the same cars.

 

Gang list & territory (these areas are where you can find gang members roaming around on foot and in their cars);

 

Note: I have looked all over Northwood and cannot find any Dominican gang at all even though it mentions them in the police database and stuff so I havent included them. (if someone has found them, please get a pic and ill put them on, I cant find them.

 

 

Russian Mafiya

Turf: Broker - Hove Beach; Firefly Island; Beachgate;

Cars: Black Mafiya Schafter; Black Mafiya Sentinel; Black Rebla; Uranus LS

Weapons: Knife; Pistol; Shotgun; Uzi;

 

The Russian Mafiya are a big and influential gang based in the south part or Broker. Members can be seen all over Hove Beach, Firefly Island and Beachgate in large numbers.

They wear many different things including; Suites, Russian hats, leather gloves, army bottoms, black/diamond turtle necks, green/brown suite jackets and loads more.

Some have tattoos on there hands, some have a Soviet hammer & sickle on the back of the hand, some have a cross in the palm and some have a tattoo on the back of the hand which i cant identify as its too hard to see, I think theres 2 of these.

 

 

M.O.B Money Over Bitches

Turf: Broker - Firefly Projects; Alderney - Acter;

Cars: Back Modded Patriot; Black Landstalker with TVs in.

Weapons: Knife; Baseball Bat; Pistol; Uzi;

 

M.O.B (money over bitches)can be found in large numbers in the Firefly Projects around the parks and basketball courts. Im sure I once heard one of them saying "Is the B Bitches or Bullsh*t?" to another, in reference with the name.

Can also be found in Acter, though im not really sure if its the same gang as the North Holland Hustlers also look exactly the same so it could be 3 different gangs, 1 big gang or 2 gangs. All I know is theres no difference between them looks wise or anything.

They can be identified easily as they often wear silver/platinum chain with $ or a money note, again in reference with their name and also silver/platinum/ice watches which most of them seem to have. They dress in "Hip Hop" style clothing with baggy bottoms/jeans and hooded tops with Timberland boots. You can see some members wearing orange/ice blue hoodys or jogging bottoms and black/white t shirts with gold chains and also flat caps sometimes they'll be wearing long winter jackets with furry hoods. Some members were the puffy coats and white and red tracksuit bottoms. There's also the big fat baldy type that wear coats with white collar and cuffs with leather gloves. They sometimes wear black or white & gold bandannas too. Also they walk with a kind of “swagger” dropping their shoulder a lot.

This gang looks exactly like the North Holland Hustlers and you can hear them talking about Holland a lot as if they come from there and they drive the same cars.

 

 

Jamaican Posse

Turf: Broker - Shottler, Beechwood City; Dukes - Willis

Cars: Green & Black Voodoo with gold rims & trim; Green & Black Huntley Sport with gold rims & trim

Weapons: Pistol; Shotgun; Uzi;

 

The Jamaicans seem to be well armed (probably due to Jacob)as most of them seem to have a gun, I've never seen any pull a knife or bat. They can be found around Homebrew café in Beechwood City and they also seem to control Shottler and Willis. Their cars are painted with the Jamaican flag colours (Green, black & gold).

They can be easily identified by the way they talk, dreadlocks, purple/bright coloured suites, Rasta tams (hats), green Military/combat gear, Rasta coloured (red yellow green black)clothes, etc.

 

 

Spanish Lords

Turf: Broker - Cerveza Heights; Bohan - South Bohan; Alogonquin - East Holland; Alderney - Alderney City

Cars: Red & Gold Cavalcade with big speakers in the back; Red & Gold Primo;

Weapons: Knife, Pistol, Uzi

 

Spanish Lords are the Puerto Rican gang. They are one and the same gang, there isn't a separate Puerto Rican gang, the Puerto Ricans are the Spanish Lords. They are based on the real life NYC gang "Latin Kings" ive read somewhere. They can often be seen wearing the Puerto Rican flag and colours with the word "Boricua" (Which basically means Puerto Rican i think)written on it. Aswell as this they can be seen wearing yellow & black, they will always wear either of these (so if they arent wearing yellow or black then they'll be wearing the Puerto Rican flag colours and vice versa, sometimes both together).They sometimes wear yellow or puerto rican bandannas, and they sometimes wear gold chains or yellow & black beads around their necks, but these come in different colours. They could be black & blue, black & purple, black & red or just black aswell as black and yellow. However there is one bead chain thats different from the others and its always black & yellow, its different from the others because the "stripes" are smaller.

Members often have "Pitchfork" or “Crown” tattoos on their neck/head, which along with the black and yellow beads are symbols of The People & Folk Nations, specifically the People Nation. The People & Folk Nations arent gangs, they are alliances under which gangs are aligned.

They come in three main "looks" it seems, theres the little, fat, baldy men with black tops and gold chains (they look a bit like Manny), theres the taller, fatish, dark haired and usually with a big tash who wear puffy coats and puerto rican colours and theres the younger, slim looking ones with yellow or white t-shirts with yellow/blue/red caps on or baseball jackets.

They have territory on all of the main islands, which makes them a big and powerful gang in Liberty City. They have a high presence in their territory, you always see high numbers of them when on their turf.

 

 

 

Angels of Death M.C

Turf: Broker – Beechwood City, BOABO

Cars: Hellfury;

Weapons: Knife; Pistol; Shotgun;

 

Motorcycle gang, obviously based on the Hells Angels gang. Ride around on “Harley like” bikes. Very easy to identify them, as like the Lost, they wear their name and logo on their jackets or T-shirts. They wear motorcycle/hells angels type black leather gear with red cloth, sometimes with helmets on. Usually they're either really fat with a big beard or really skinny with a helmet on there head. Often have many tattoos. They can usually be found hanging around auto repairs shops/scrapyards with loads of rusty cars about the place in both Beechwood City and in BOABO . The angels of Death use a Skull as their logo.

They currently have a feud and are rivals with The Lost Brotherhood M.C gang.

 

 

Irish Mob

Turf: Dukes - Steinway

Cars: Green Contender + mounted headlights with green caps also front grill/bumper; Black/green Oracle with modded grill, bumper and removed logos

Weapons: Knife; Baseball Bat; Pistol; Shotgun;

 

The Irish Mob can be identified as they are one on the few gangs to wear a certain colour, green. Near enough all of them have something with green on them. In fact I cant remember seeing one without green on, even their cars are green. The also normally wear faded dark jeans, waistcoats green hoodys, lots of denim, etc. Headed by the McCreary family, they're normally around Steinway Beer garden, which they own.

 

 

Albanian Mob

Turf: Bohan - Little Bay

Cars: Red Futo GT with red bucket seat on drivers side; Red Hakumai with twin exhaust and spoiler

Weapons: Knife; Pistol; Shotgun;

 

The Albanians seem like a small insignificant gang in Liberty City. They control a small out of the way part of Bohan, Little Bay, and they arent even big in that area. They're very hard to find, theres not many on the streets unlike the Russians or Spanish Lords. I dont know if its just me, but they seem to come out a lot more when its dark. The Albanians are not in Hove Beach.

They can usually be identified by their green caps with the Albanian eagle crest on it or black wooly hats. They also seem to wear the same black shoes/boots and mostly wear jeans, or blue camo bottoms black leather jackets. Some wear racing jackets similar to the one you get in that mission.

They seem to hate the Italians, they're always shouting stuff about them.

 

 

 

North Holland Hustlers

Turf: Algonquin – North Holland;

Cars: Back Modded Patriot; Black Landstalker with TVs in.

Weapons: Knife; Baseball Bat; Pistol; Uzi;

 

The North Holland Hustlers, as the name suggests, control North Holland in Algonquin. The gang look exactly the same as M.O.B both have the same peds and they wear the same clothes. They also drive the same cars and wear the $ sign medallions. This is Dwain Forges (or Playboy X) gang and if your good friends with Dwain this is the gang from which he sends two thugs to help you.

 

 

Italian Mafia (Cosa Nostra & Pegorinos)

Turf: Algonquin - Little Italy; Alderney – Westdyke;

Cars: Black Mafia Sentinel XS; Black PMP 600 with spoiler.

Weapons: Knife; Pistol; Uzi; SMG

 

The Italian Mafia or Cosa Nostra in Liberty City is an alliance of 5 mafia crime families, Messina, Pavano, Luispella, Ancelotti and Gambetti. Aswell as these 5 families theres also the Pegorino family who are not part of the Cosa Nostra, but are still a smaller Mafia outfit in Alderney, who look the same and drive the same cars. The Mafia are a powerful organization in Liberty, but their grip is slipping and other gangs are getting bigger.

They wear a number of different things including; Black suites with black tie (Classic Mafia style), light coloured suites, open shirts with rolled up sleeves with vest, tracksuits (fat men), tropical shirts with trousers and open jacket, flatcaps, shades. They speak in an Italian-American accent and can be found around Drusilla's in Little Italy(Cosa Nostra) aswell as around Westdyke (Pegorinos).

 

 

Chinese Triads

Turf: Algonquin - Chinatown

Cars: Dark blue modded Feroci with gold rims, custom bumper & skirting, twin exhaust, removed logos, says JDM VIP on the back; Intruder VX with custom bumper and skirting, both cars also have a Chinese tassel hanging from the mirror.

Weapons: Knife; Pistol; Uzi;

 

The Triads control Chinatown, identifying them, there seem to be three or four main types, theres big fat guys normally with an open jacket on, guys wearing black suites and theres guys who wear Chinese dragon shirts. All look chinese/japanese and sound it too. Members also often have dragon tattoos on the arms. They run the weapon shop in Chinatown and seem to be well armed as a result with lots of them carrying Uzi's. You can easily spot their vehicles as they have a Chinese tassel hanging from the rear-view mirror.

 

 

 

The Lost Brotherhood M.C

Turf: Alderney – Acter;

Cars: Black Zombie with red rims;

Weapons: Knife; Pistol; Shotgun;

 

Another motorcycle gang in Liberty, The Lost Brotherhood are fierce rivals with Angels of Death. They can be found in Acter they wear motorcycle gear with their name on it aswell as their logo which is an eagle. Members often have shaved heads, bandannas, piercings, rings, goaties, sleevless jackets and they speak with redneck accents.

 

 

 

Korean Mob

Turf: Alderney – Alderney City;

Cars: Dark Blue Modded Supercharged Presidente with black rims, spoiler and modded grill; Blue Sultan 3.5 Twin Turbo with gold rims, modded hood and spoiler;

Weapons: Knife; Baseball Bat; Pistol; Uzi;

 

The Korean Mob share turf in Alderney City with The Spanish Lords. They seem to be on friendly terms with them and can often been seen driving with them in the same vehicle or bike and they often talk together. They dont stand out as much because they dont wear particular colours or style. They can be identified mainly by their Korean looking face and black hair with centre parting, tracksuit tops, black trousers with chain hanging from pocket, waistcoat and hoody, red trainers.

Added pics and changed the Korean Mobs gang vehicles to the correct ones, I did have PCJ 600 down instead of the Sultan as their vehicle, this was a mistake.

EDIT: about the weapons, those ive listed are just the ones ive seen them pull out when you go in their area and start shooting them, not the ones they use on missions, vigilantes, etc.

Yeah man definetly, reasons being;

 

1. They help each other if you attack them.

 

2. They pull out weapons (if they have them) and start shooting you if you shoot at them or just shoot anywhere in their turf.

 

3. When the police come they attack them too, often you get can some quality shootouts between gangs and the police, that you can just watch from a distance...or join in if you like

 

4. They drive "gang" cars that are different to the normal version, these cars (along with the gangsters) are only found in their area.

 

5. Both gangs are talked about on the game during missions and on the radio.

very great guide but for weapons ive been in gunfights with russians and koreans and they used ak 47s and what about the skinhead gang i see them in & around middle park and other places. they have suspenders and usually where white & black. they carry knives dunno about guns and cars. u should investigate them. i also here them say ?skinheads rule? u may find alot in the majestic hotel lobby. they also where leather. sometimes they are nowhere to be found at middle park though.

Btw for me its easy to find the Albanian gangsters.. They mostly appear at night time, look on Bronco Street, Little Bay, and around there.

The knot hanging from the rear view mirror, of the Intruder and Feroci, are Japanese in nature and are called Fusa's and have deep meaning to them. Not chinese as you have indentified them as.

For anyone out there hunting down the gang cars ... what are your favorites? I'm a big fan of the Mafia Sentinel, personally. Totally badass.

Also has anybody noticed the Vice Squad tags? I wonder if they are a gang. Also I'm pretty sure in the Most Wanted mission where you go into the projects to kill the skinhead I think saw a Families tag on 1 of the floors.

Awesome post. I loved looking for the modded cars since I got the game. Now I know where all the gangs are. It's fun to call up Dwayne's boys and get a shootout started in Chinatown. I'll have to check the other gang territories out now. Great work.
