press E/Q to take cover left/right (i recommand changing the default switch weapons buttons)

 

keep pressing to stay in that possition

 

press Move Left/Right to roll from that cover

 

press Aim to break in! (keep pressing till the animation begins)

 

DOWNLOAD

 

install: put both files in the cleo dir

 

it has no reference to walls tough... ^^ im a rainbow 6 fan... what more can i say blush.gif

we need wall collision detection!

 

86BD: not no_obstacles_between [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] and [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] solid 1 car 0 actor 0 object 0 particle 0

 

we can use that to create an invisible car/object near the player mayb...

need to overdrive my imagination here catspider.gif

Nice mod. Tryed it out myself.

 

Would be awesome if you got it to work with crouching. Then we could have our own little part of GTAIV in SA.

The best way to do it is put a object such as the green goo attach it to the back of cj.

 

Green goo id=2976

 

069B: attach_object [email protected] to_actor $PLAYER_ACTOR with_offset 0.0 0.1 0.0 rotation 0.0 0.0 0.0

 

 

One little object should do the trick.

 

 

But remember to delete the object after because attached object to cj will become bugy they need to be re created again.

 

 

I tryed in a mod I enabled no collision For a actor and attach a big object to that actor and put actors on that object.

 

Which way it the anim L or R or both ?

but one question, why when i keep pressing "q" or "e" , cj is moving forward at each animation,

i mean there is the anim and then he moves forward and there is the same anim and etc

 

anyhow really cool but maybe need some improvement...

He doesn't need to put you in the credits, because GTA has already got those animations in the default game... and as far as i know, they aren't your work.. so stfu.

When did I say the anims are mine? i said he should give a credit to gtasbigfoot for posting the anim codes. So you stfu

it was MY idea to press Q/E on that topic and I made this mod coz NO1 ELSE DID!

 

oh id like to show u my cover skills in vegas 2 sly.gif see where i really got the idea... dozingoff.gif

Oh, is it possible to do anything with the dam jump animations?

 

EDIT:Tried it out now, and I think the only problem is the keys, cause I always use Q as a sprint button, but I guess I'll have to get used to another key...

It has not col Cj can go through objects when jumping,after anim CJ will be at the same place.

 

move $player_actor on to:

the funnny thing is that take cover mod was based on my attempt to do just that... no success tough... it sucks!

(tried giving the player pushes to look real and not drown in the ground... no luck)

 

the only fun thing to do with those animations is when player preforming FALL_FALL to switch to DAM_DIVE_LOOP so CJ would dive...

 

not so plesent to watch when the ground-effect kicks in... notify.gif

i actually have a little breaktrough here... the dam jump might be ready by the end of next week...

not promising anything yet but i seem to get it working nickly for a start.

 

ill also soon release another version of TAKE COVER.... make it more free and user friendly. sleepy.gif
