Memories Of Vice City

Recommended Posts

What stuff in Vice City brings back lots of memories for you?

I remember when I was first playing it in 2002 I had finished all the missions that don't require you to purchase properties, and I didn't have any more mission markers, so I thought I'd beat the game, until a friend told me a day later that you have to find and buy certain properties to continue the story.

Standing in the Ocean Beach hotel and hearing the mexican music by the tables for the restaurant in it brings back a lot of memories of VC in the old days.

And everytime I get to "Cap The Collector", right before "Keep Your Friends Close", I always start getting reminded of the first time I'd got there and beat the game.

The mission, I forget the name, where you have to protect Cortez's ship in order for him to leave Vice City always brings back lots of memories too.

I could go on and on about stuff like this but I'll end it here.

Please add a post and account deletion procedure!

http://www.accountkiller.com/removal-requested

You, as a webmaster or administrator, may have arrived here through an account information page on the site you're coming from. It seems the user tried to delete his/her account, however found this to be impossible. Therefore the user scrambled his/her personal data and referred to this page, requesting the site to create an account deletion option, preferably by completely deleting all personal data from the database.

More and more people are concerned about online privacy. Therefore we encourage online services to create an account deletion option, hopefully transparent and easily executed by the user. By anonimising personal data, retained data is rendered inadequate for (commercial) use. As more people use such measures, the urge for deletion options becomes stronger.

Besides, your site may be labelled white instead of black in the listings of AccountKiller. This provides more trust to users even considering the creation of an account at your site.

For further reference, also read the FAQ on AccountKiller.

Flesh-n-Bone

It was the first GTA I played, and I was younger, 11-12. I went to an internet café and they had VC there along with some other games. The first thing in my mind when I officially got my VC was the intro with Sonny and the beers in front of him. I remember messing around when I played it then, it was 2004 or something, I didn't know nothing about missions etc.. so I just went into stores fist-fighting the buyers and all that. Then the thing it reminds me off is the great sunny summer atmosphere.

As stupid as it sounds the rain in VC. One day i came home fromschool stuck VC on and it started to rain at the exact same time as it did in RL. So whenever i see rain in VC or any otherGTA i think of that day.

(Its lame i know but it is a memeory of mine)

If that ain't in everyone's list ... you got a problem. When I read the topic title I thought of the exact same thing!

Well, it's sad to hear most of the people didn't even play the missions... really sad. I bet the atmosphere of Vice City didn't even bother to most of you guys who posted those "only killed people" posts.

Ah, Vice City is just very nostalgic for me. One of the best gaming experiences I've had. The music, Vice City itself, Lance backstabbing prick, Club Malibu, Umberto ...

I haven't played GTAIV yet but it's my best GTA experience. They should remake Vice in my opinion... but now I'm going offtopic.

Damn man I thought I'd be the only one to think that. I guess I was wrong haha. But I agree that it's sad that a lot of people just went around and killed people, that isn't even part of some of the greatest stuff in Vice City.

And BTW you'll most likely like VC better than IV. IV wasn't all the good and it really doesn't even barely feel like a GTA, it doesn't have that same vibe as the older GTA.

The music is actually one of the negatives from Vice City for me. Maybe a reason why VC would be ranked as my last GTA.

WTF ? you don't like the 80's ? mercie_blink.gif

WOW, I'm shocked...I was not even alive to experience the 80's and I treat the music as if I was.

That's just not my taste. I liked Vice City Stories' music (Flash FM, Fresh 105, Wave 103) but not in VC.

The only station I like in VC is Wildstyle.

And the only 80's I really like are from 87- that's where the real 80's classics begin in my music!

good topic! my most vivid memory of vice city which happens to also be my favorite is walking out of my starfish island mansion, going to the garage and looking at which car I wanted to drive that day... the green patriot, the red banshee, or the white infernus =)

Boss of GTA
Well I was a little kid, about 9-10 years old when I got it and I really sucked doing missions, now I can do them easy. But I spent most of the time killing, doing nothing but killing and shooting and cop rampages and what not. I didn't even know what it was about really. And I like that Mexican Music a lot too, do you know the name of it?

yeah,same as me lol

Hey, I feel exactly the same too!! The first time I started this game it was the neonlight street of Ocean Beach where my first hotel is at that attracts me most. Sporting a white Infernus, wearing a blue richman suit, and cruising around the neonlight street at 6:00am while listening to fever 105 really draws me into Miami Vice!!

yea, and those full scale assault missions, like saving Cortez's ship and killing Ricardo Diaz really brings back memories, i mean a lot of memories...

I have loads of memories inlove.gif

That's why Vice City is the best game ever made.

It's the best game ever made because you have loads of memories...

icon13.gif poot

Agree.

I have loads of memories from old 2D games I used to play 10 years ago. Doesn't mean they're great.

That also doesn't mean you have to come in here and be a complete dick about it. icon13.gif

Vice City does have great memories, the first GTA game I was able to beat. Great storyline, vehicles and characters, I just think everything in Vice City was brilliant except the fact you couldn't swim.

I was about 13 when it came out I think, and me and my friends were huge GTA3 addicts and GTA2 addicts before then so we were really looking foward to it. I remember all the talk about bikes and elicopters and how the main character talked and had a name in this one (wow.gif) Then it came out and I was as impressed with it as I thought would be, my friends would come over and we would take turns playing, those were the days.
