CJ walks backwards

Hello, when i play GTA:SA cj keeps going backwards (toward the camera) at half-speed (jogging, the slower run, but not the walk), the only thing i have edited recently before the problem started occuring is vehicle.txd when i imported new lights for cars confused.gif , something else i think is very weird is the speed he at which he goes backwards, because (control)backwards is linked to 'down arrow' and 'S', whick work like on/off switches not like an analog stick, and it has all the symptoms of a calibration error which would seem impossible (i have never had to calibrate my keyboard sarcasm.gif) , i've tried other mods with new vehicle.txd, nothing works... Has this happened to any1 else or does any1 know how to fix it or atleast where this problem could be coming from? (where all the stuff related to cj's movement is perhaps)

I've already tried:

-reinstalling (with and without removing every single GTASA file including the user files)

-new keyboard drivers

-dumping parts of the old install over the new1 (just kept part of the install to keep modded files there maybe i wont have to reinstall/edit lots of stuff manually)

EDIT: as it turns out the joystick which is also connected to the pc but is ignored by just about every non-flightsim game was knocked halfway back thats whats been causing this... yes i know very clever thing to do of me sigh.gif

Update:dling another (modded can't find a fresh 1) vehicle.txd does NOT fix it, my game is perfect otherwise so unless any1 has an idea howto fix this more simply, will san andreas work properly if you start copying all the modded files from my current install to the new 1?

@zera: Thanks very much!!! biggrin.gif

but now i'm curious which files are related to player/vehicle movement controls, i've noticed in cars no problem but on foot cj goes backwards and on motorbikes (found out about this testing the 2nd reinstall) cj leans backwards, not enough for wheelie unless you really hit the throttle hard, but these controls arent even on the same button in my setup, so you'd think it uses some sort of ps2 or possibly the default pc controls, with the control for leaning and walking back being the same by default somehow it sets them to 50% pressed which would seem only to be possible by some kind of software *@#**

Okay i'm using the edit from now on (me= pretty much a noob when it comes to forums, sorry)

Delete the gta_sa.set file from the User Files folder.

Also, unplug any unused controllers that you may be having.
