laughable

anyone else think gameplay of SR2 is gonna be laughable compared to GTA4?

 

it seems so empty and pointless, but aimlessly driving around shooting people is rediculously fun in GTA.

 

get a 4-seat vehicle, call dwayne for backup. drive slowly around a gang area like bohan, shooting any gang members you find. dwayne's thugs should be hanging from the windows giving you a hand.

 

i accumulated 5 stars from shooting mp5 and throwing grenades from the window of the car, then after a wild cop chase my car caught fire. i escaped from the vehicle and made a run for a nearby noose patriot, taking out the cop with a blast from my pump shotgun. by which time my old vehicle had exploded, killing one of dwayne's thugs. so under heavy fire from police and noose, i started up the patriot and picked up the remaining thug.

 

another chase ensued. i was trying to lose to cops in the most extravagant way, so i headed towards the unique stunt locations around bohan and flew through them.

 

a while later my patriot is beat up, full of bullet holes and smoking with my partner still unloading his uzi from the passenger side. i tried to run a roadblock on the north bohan bridge, made it through but took a pounding from SMG fire and my patriot finally lit up. i bailed from the moving vehicle, but dwayne's boy didn't heed my advice.

 

i rolled along the bridge to a halt, with a sliver of health remaining. saw the patriot roll to a halt, and my partner finally exited the vehicle, but unfortunately not fast enough. the vehicle blew up and the shockwave sent him hurtling through the air and over the side of the bridge.

 

now i was alone, with a convoy of law forces approaching and a chopper... my new plan was to jump the bridge and find a boat to make my escape. this wasn't the best idea, because i wasn't far enough along the bridge to reach the water so i slapped against the concrete and died.

I think SR2 is a good way to get away from all the realism that IV has.

I might try the game. It seems like a fun game, but IV will always be my favorite.

 

Edit: Keep in mind that the games have two completely different approaches. IV is all about being realistic, and SR2 is more cartoony like San Andreas was.

Even though I love IV to death, I always thought that was a really funny video.

It's completely true. I mean, watch TV in a video game on your TV? What is the point of that, really?

The throwing people into the trains part was the best.
